And if he is posting other people's reporting how is the French almost always right? Isn't the cited source( the actual reporter) the one that is right? Why give credit to the French guy?

Maybe Mario can take me with him to complain about PCA?

"This venture is bringing the first-ever American-made engine to Formula 1—a GM-built engine specifically," said Rep. John James.
I know Ford partnered with Cosworth but does that mean their engine wasn't an American engine?

The Ford Cosworth DFV was funded by Ford Europe and built by Cosworth which is a British company. So, no, it could not be considered an American engine.

I heard last night from my buddy Darin who was at a PCA cars & coffee event who was talking to Steve and he heard from his friend Ferdinand on the 918 VIP GroupME app that Bill was in London and bought the Globe newspaper from Gene that owns "Brits for F1" News stand and they said Jos and Max were meeting with MBZ after the F1 GP this Monday.

Whew I think i got all my credits and sources correct. Or was it John that was talking to Steve...crud I forget.

Toto seems to say the Verstappen-Mercedes meeting isn't happening. Is he lying?

I don't know what to make of the VER to MB rumors. Who the hell knows.
No doubt Newey is an incredible engineer and if he decides to continue his F1 career, he will almost certainly continue to make an outsize impact.

Some speculate that a lot of the RB technical team may be spring-loaded to move on as well, but there will also be those still at RB who will see this as a challenge to come out more from under the shadow and build their own reputation*. If RB is somehow able to weather the storm and field a good car next year, that will go a long way in building up some CVs.The biggest factor is what really is going on at RB and can the toxicity be overcome? In close second for the following year is if the new Ford/RB power unit will be competitive.

*If (as most believe) the issues at RB are down to bad behavior by CH (and not some other nefarious scheme), then it may not matter how good the technical team is. Jos may have been exactly correct when he spoke out about CH's continued presence tearing the team apart.

There are so many talented people in F1. With the depth of the engineering and design leadership in the big teams so much more common now, there are legions of talented engineers seeking to take up the challenge.

There is always the possibility Newey will choose the option mooted by his manager, Eddie Jordan, and head off to sail his Oyster yacht for awhile.

But I hope his wife exercises her influence and he ends up in Emilia-Romagna...

Mais oui! This is only credible as you didn't cite the Corvette forum as a source.

"Yesterday Fred Vasseur, the team principal of the red team, did not travel with the team to Miami, where the race will take place on Sunday. Instead, he flew to London. Motive? Meeting Newey himself in the evening, perhaps to conclude the agreement that has been whispered for some time, which will bring the English genius to Maranello from next season. It is likely that the announcement of the signing will be made after the GP. The designer will be able to work immediately on the 2026 car, without constraints related to gardening, being fundamental with his ideas to better interpret the new technical regulations that will come into force. An aspect in which he has always been a master."

Nothing like a "plan" all coming together.

Ferrari need to pay Horner a bonus from the increase in their stock price since they signed Hamilton, and are about to realise a true coup in signing Newey since he’s had enough of working at an imploding RB under Horner; Jos V, etc.
