Thanks Tim. Nice driving yourself. I've been coming to Summit for almost 20 years and Tim took third in sprint 1 at his first time here!

I was really hoping for a win in sprint 2 as well but Hunt got a great start and I didn't. I managed to pull withing a couple of seconds at one point but by then I used up too much tire and didn't have enough left. Nice Run Hunt.

It was a really fun day though, one more chance tomorrow.

Having a good weekend so far:
1st race: 1st in class
2nd race: 2nd in class

But most importantly...

Congrats Bob. I can't argue with their choice.

Sprint 2 was lots of fun, just not a good points race for me. Decided to mow a large section of grass on lap 2, putting me at the back of the SPB pack (15th?), spent the next 20 some minutes working my way back to 5th.

Great event and looking forward to the enduro this morning.

Thank you Potomac and all the volunteers. Truly amazing event. You all are fantastic hosts. The effort really shows and us northerners had blast!

Grass? It looked like a haboob coming at me. I was just hoping there wasn't a camel in the middle of it because everything went dark. I'll post up a video at some point.

Last year we lost one of my very best friends, Lou Betstadt in November. That was after he won his last race, which was at Summit. Thank you to everyone who stopped to share a few memories. We continued his competitive spirit. Swept the weekend, with 1st place in all races, and a new track record for F class. We broke a control arm with about 4 laps to go in the enduro. We were 3rd overall and nursed it home, finishing 8th. Team 50!

Way to go Don! Wondered what happened to you toward the end. Wasn't expecting to see a point-by

Good event, not a good track for me though. My car was dog $hit at the start of every race; rear tires would slide and start thumping with rubber deg for a about ten laps +. Not sure if I was too low, or I overheated them early? It would come back to me after a while, but it was too late by that point.

944 Cup action was a blast!

The dust storm starts at about 10:45. Turn the sound down though, something was creating an ear piercing noise on the smartycam.

Default very well organized event

very well organized race. volunteers did a great job. easily the best organized grid of the year. great job by the trackworkers/flaggers. Loved the schedule as we were packed up and on the road by 330pm on Sunday

great competition AND driving in the cup car group with lots of good battles both in and out of class. I won some, lost some, shifted to 6th instead of 4th at entry of last corner of sprint 1 which gave Doug a huge run at me but got lucky as his rev limiter allowed me to beat him by 0.014 at the finish line.
Congrats to Dante for ruling GTC3 at Summit (the biggest and only REAL cup car class)

The conditions in the yellow enduro were brutal. hardest 90 minutes I ever spend in a car but totally worth it.

I was very happy with my driving especially for a track I never raced at and only spend 1 session last year in a street car on. if I only I learned how to shift consistently I would have done even better

Red sprint and Yellow enduro were fantastic. Super heads up driving by everyone. Only problem was me when my shifter balked during the enduro. Sorry Chip.

Otherwise everyone drove fantastic. Great event.

Terrific event and my third year in a row. Look forward to next year. Many thanks to the organizers and all the volunteers who ran a perfect weekend.

My personal weekend? Craptacular. With six G cars I was looking forward to a really fun weekend. Managed to win the first Sprint race only to be disqualified for being under the minimum weight by seven pounds. Started the second Sprint in last place (36th) and made it to 3rd in class and 11th overall. Enduro I gridded 5th and made it to 3rd after squeaking past two SP3 cars, only to have the vacuum pump on the car die at T7 on lap three. Car dead. Weekend over.

Congrats to Jim Evans who after four years out of racing came back and was fast all weekend and drove the cajones off his RSA.
