How do I enable AUX mode in PCM? I see AM / FM / DISC no AUX anymore.
Are you saying that you switched the PCM input to FM and you don't know how to select AUX? Or it was there and is now missing? What 'wire' do you use for Car Play, the PCM doesn't support wired Car Play.

Is it normal that after installing isudar, aux in doesn’t work anymore?! I was hoping I could overlay sounds by aux cable while in apple carplay, bc PCM is always in aux mode, but it doesn’t work!

The option in PCM to choose AUX no longer exists. It was there before I installed Isudar. I use a USB cable to hardwire to PCM/Isudar now that it's installed I have wired CarPlay.

I think that is the case. Normally you pick AUX when you first install Isudar and then AUX *is* Isudar (CarPlay).

No, no problems if that is normal. I just wanted to make sure the lights stay on - presumably it’s so if you just pop out for an errand you don’t have to reconnect.

I removed my cd/dvd unit. I never use discs, plus it gives more room for airflow as well as more room for cables.

So far, the only ‘problem’ I have is if I go to, for instance ‘sound’ or ‘info’ on the headunit. I don’t know how to get back to CarPlay without holding down the phone button and invoking Siri and the UI.

Sound is great, hate not being able to swipe, hate the boxes/shading on the CarPlay UI elements, am a tiny bit concerned that my voltage shows 14.1 now (is that ok?) and am a little concerned about data privacy. I’m going to keep an eye on traffic in and out.

Ahh, the view inside would make sense now that you say that you have removed the CD drive altogether! 14.1 volts is fine as well. Data privacy is (I would think) a function of the phone not the Isudar board. The UI elements are also a function of the phone and the resolution of the PCM.

As for getting back to the CP/AA interface, that can be done by pressing and holding the "INFO" button on the PCM for 2 seconds.

I was able to get AUX working again by first inserting a CD in the slot and then I was able to go re-enable AUX. I am back in to CarPlay.

Hey all. What’s the latest firmware version available, and is there a link handy?

Isudar does not recommend or maintain a download location for firmware, they prefer to distribute it on an as needed basis, specifically to a user who has a verified problem and provides both the hardware and software revision levels.

Hmm, ok. I can’t get my 💎 button to advance tracks in CarPlay. Is that normal?

If you are referring to the button on the MF wheel then that is only programmable to functions within the basic system, not AA or CP

Default Buttons and touch screen not working

I have a 2016 Porsche cayenne. I attempted to install the Isudar CarPlay system. Upon install my screen worked and showed the radio but none of my buttons, dials, or touchscreen worked. I have no audio from the system. I can control the radio and change stations with my steering wheel, and it shows when I mute the system. If I get a phone call, it comes through the speakers and the mic works, but that is the only audio I get. Lights on the buttons do not turn on.

I have tried holding the power button to reset, holding the info button, and pulling the fuse from the passenger side. No luck.

I checked ribbon cables 3 separate times with no success. I went ahead and removed the entire Isudar card, and am in the same spot. Screen works, and I can control it from the steering wheel but no audio and buttons/dials/touchscreen are unresponsive.

All ribbon cables seem to be in good condition, the ports they plug into also seem to be completely fine.

So, if I buy the Isudar carplay on Amazon today, will I be getting the latest firmware with it? Is there newer versions of the unit coming out soon? Installing on 2012 991.1 with 3.1 pcm.

I will likely have the latest version as of time of manufacture, Isudar hasn't released a newer version of this hardware for a couple of years now.

The current version is stable and works well for most people, it is a cost effective way to keep PCM 3.1 relevant with the latest AA/CP connectivity.
