Is this what everyone’s cable looks like? Mine doesn’t fit snug into the ODB.

If this is your cable, you rather have a Piwis2, not Piwis 3 system.

This is the cable connecting to the Piwis 2 VCI... supposed to plug in easily into your OBD port. if not, there's a mechanical issue..

Hello,

I have PIWIS working, clearing errors, etc. However, I can't enable my PSE button. I noticed that the XLF option can be added to the engine, klima unit (the b utton itself) and the BCE rear modules. However, only the engine accepts the XLF option. Others just remain with exclamaiton mark no matter if I am in E or V mode. What am I doing wrong? In addition, I enabled the Start/Stop remember last mode and it WORKS, BUT in PIWIS it says it's not enabled, so how the hell it works is another mistery that I frankly don't care about...

sorry guys I'm going to sift through the 50 odd pages but in the mean time was there an update to seller that has the correct version VAS16540 cable? 1.6.x was it? is this still an issue or can I get the later version?

Right whole thread now consumed! ok so it has to be 1.6.6.0 I can only find a link on ebay to them now for $100 I guess thats better than nothing but is there anywhere cheaper, I did have an aliexpress link but that literally expired while looking through it so they must have sold them all.....

I'm having some issues such as being unable to generate a VAL for my 992. I'm going to try and do so on a 2020 Macan to see whether it's a VAS (with version 1.6.6.0) issue or PIWIS v.40.450 as it doesn't go beyond ending module ECM 30TFS (about 80% or so in).

If you order ensure that they certify that the expiration date is for about 10 years from now not December of this year.

Try to do a Vehicle Handover instead for your 992 and see if it works-
Also, which VAL options are you choosing? And is your 992 still under warranty? I would assume so-

Just selecting all and then letting it do it's thing. Not sure what warranty has to do with this though. Will try and test on the wife's Macan and see if I can generate a VAL from her 2020.

vas 6154 does not work well with DoiP (full-fledged DoiP only in genuine PT3G VCI)
VAL will not work if you have LED headlights installed, vas 6154 is not capable of this

the problem is not in the versions, the cheap replacement in the form of 6154 has its drawbacks, but it also knows how to do a lot, it's more a question of the price for piwis

Wasn't using DoIP. So VAL hasn't worked since....whenever Porsche moved from HIDs//halogen to LEDs????

Tried this on my Cayenne, makes no difference. surround view still switches off. Must be another option which controls this VIM.
