3,769 lbs for the GT350 (non R)

Ignore JMG - he sounds like the guys who paid top dollar for a cheesy Camaro SS in 2009 after watching Transformers 2 and got their butt handed to them by the Shelby GT500 at every stoplight. Ford producing one of the greatest sports coupes in the last 25 years is clearly very upsetting for him.

He actually comes across as an elitist ahole that looks with disdain on anything that doesn't wear a Porsche badge or some other high-end marque badge.

True car enthusiasts appreciate all cool cars even if they prefer and buy their certain types and brands.

The GT350 looks very interesting to me. Pretty impressive, especially at the price point they were able to hit.

Well said. I aspire to own a Porsche at some point which is why I first landed here. Luckily not everyone is a complete douchebag.

You will find on RL there are very few DB. Yes I love my Pcars and will own more in the future but I also enjoy driving fun cars that are track capable off the showroom floor and the GT350 is my weapon of choice right now.

I see no issue discussing other track cars on Rennlist. Porsche isn't the only game in town. Don't like it you don't have to click on this thread.

+1! I have owned the '67 for 25+ years and two GT350R's and a GT2RS wouldn't pry it from me. I have so much time and money invested in this car.
(I took the photo several years ago right before I unloaded my urban home, thank god).
I have a '17 GT350R, great car, just not a 1967 restomod!

From my personal experience, the cars are comparable on the track achieving it in different ways...the numbers don't lie. The rest of the discussion is just subjective

You drive equal lap times in each? What track?

Beautiful! Details on the restomod?

I've thought about selling the '67 a couple of times for garage space, but just can't do it.

I am still in a learning curve with the GT350R, so my times would not be relevant. However, Jade Buford, Factory driver for the GT350 and also raced cup cars, has gotten similar times. Forgot which track, but said the GT350R was faster by .5 second - will ask when I see him again. Other tracks, the GT3RS would prevail. That said, you will see differing results at various tracks due to strengths and weaknesses of each car.

Each car is worth the asking price - the reason I own both! In the end..."There is no substitute."
