"The MR shocks are also unique, with the internal piston orifices smaller on the R."

True - the part numbers are like 1 digit different. Does that make it or break it? Who knows but as with many "special" cars these days, it's the culmination of many very small changes, all engineered to work together, that makes them what they are.

That was the 2016 R... not the '17... I believe the '17's are now the same.

Regardless, I think the point's been made... they're both awesome cars... but the differences are far less if you have a '17 GT350, sans wheels & tires most notably.

Best Regards,
Dave

No difference, Dave. Nothing changed. The 2015 thru 2018 R's are all the same... same powertrain & same R suspension components. Nothing changed. I know what I'm talking about... believe me on this.

The biggest key change for 2017 and newer is that all NON-R GT350s now come equipped with all the (missing trans & diff) coolers standard (in other words the previously optional Track Pkg for 15-16 is now standard on 17-18). Ford raised the base price $6500 for 2017 to compensate for this though... so basically you're still being billed for it. Go figure.

Got it, thank you Bossing helpful! And didn't realize the $6K in base price increase, makes sense!

Best Regards,
Dave

Here's another solid deal. I definitely prefer the way these look without the stripes: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2017-Ford-Mu...-/311940117395

We are finally getting closer to invoice. Only another $2k to go.

These cars either haven't hit reserve or ended the auction early. How does this equate to being close to invoice??

Just for reference I received 47k trade in for a 2016 Shelby GT350 with 19,889 miles on it which was full KBB value. Nearly 2 years of ownership with high miles and only a 10k depreciation loss I was happy. Private party I would of been looking at 49-50k maybe.

How are you liking your Grand Sport? Can we have a street comparison for now?

Because the asking price for the one I linked, before it was removed, was $56.5k BIN.
