^^ Yes, I believe something changed with the drive-by-wire setup in 17. Word is that they are working on it but as of this moment, the auto-blip doesn't support the newest cars.

These are pretty easy to HT, though...and enjoyable.

I was told by Ford Motorsports that inside the CF barrels there are ceramic coating for heat insulation. Specially the front...do not scratch them. Be careful if strapping through the wheel.

They have a more expensive titanium version but I went with the above.
Thank you very much Para.

Ford recommended this to me: Ford Performance Parts offers a tow hook kit for the Shelby GT350/R. It’s priced at $88.00 part # M-17954-FA.

Put these on my Z/28 as well - require some work, but they are good quality and done right. $259 for front and rear

^^ Talked to Carbon Revolution (they make the wheels for Ford). They explained that the white coating is for extreme heat produced on the heaviest of track use. Regardless of that, the black paint on these wheels is VERY soft and easy to cause abrasions - so if you're worried about that, be careful with the straps.

With the continued production I find myself eyeing these cars again so a few questions.

How easy would it be to add A/C to a 900A spec car? I see there is a kit for the Coyote engine but it doesn't appear to have a condenser.

For those with the 350R are any of you swapping out the wheels with something else? I suppose Carbon Revolution seems like they are here to stay so replacement of damaged wheels may not be difficult in the future but standard aluminum wheels might be better for track and city use.

Many of us have done the nylon spacer mod. Go to Home Depot or Lowes, and find the nylon spacer/washer drawers. They should have ones that are 1" OD x 3/8" ID x 3/8" thickness. Get 3. Unscrew the three nuts on the pedal assembly. Slip the nylon spacers over the studs, and adjust the insulation to make sure the spacers are sitting flush and not pinching the insulation. Put the pedal assembly and nuts back on, with some blue Loctite if you wish. Whole thread is below. Vastly improves heel and toe.

If any of you guys are interested, a friend of mine is moving to Europe and has a 100 mile R (black black black no stripes) he's selling for 80k (he bought for $90 so he's not being greedy for profit), the car is located in LA and I'm pretty sure is still for sale. Random but figured I'd mention it.

It's nice to see the first OE carbon wheels on GT350 for a substantial weight saving over aluminum wheels, but its front monstrous iron rotor (394x36mm) remains at 30 lbs/ea.

Thanks to GT350 enthusiasts' request we have just released a front carbon ceramic rotor upgrade kit that fits right under Brembo OE calipers and weighs only 13.5 lbs that can save you 33 lbs per axle. over stock iron rotors.

We use the same ZR1/Z28 front disc for GT350 and GT500 CCM rotor builds for easy availability of replacement disc at low cost. This would be the first CCM rotor kit ever made available for Ford Mustang.

They are now available from RacingBrake and are shipping...

Optional sintered brake pads are available for the ultimate performance you can ever expect for your GT350...
