Yes. I have a September build 2018. I pulled in the other day and smelled oil. Not good. Should not be any oil smell ever. Last oil change, I noticed a little seepage. Nothing dripping. Just moist/dirty?ish... Wiped it off and figured I'd take another look in 2500 miles. If so, it goes in the shop. Age: 15 months old. Mileage: 22500.

My GTS is under warranty so the dealer is doing the repair, but I did ask my indy about it and he said they haven't been able to do it without dropping the engine due to where the bolt is located. In the past, he's been able to fabricate tools to get these sorts of things done (works on Audi so has found ways around dropping the infamous 2.7T engines found on the All-road, S4 etc. of the era), but no better solution to getting at this bolt yet.

I think I would be a little nervous about the "longer bolt" type repair. At least in my case it took a great deal of effort and documentation to get the dealer to do their job, but once we agreed there was a leak, there was no option but to pull the engine. As I understand it, PCNA even requires picture proof of engine out, to fund the warranty, and I am sure to confirm the repair was "Porsche Standard". Perhaps PCNA is looking at alternative repair methods but I would be a bit nervous.

So far no pushback on them doing work under warranty.
Sorry, I guess I did not reply to the post I thought I was. The above post implies there is a first attempt at longer bolts, before the engine out remedy.

Just picked up my 2018 GTS from it’s 10k mile service. Didn’t even ask them to check for the leak but they noticed it, glad they did.

Parts were ordered and it’s going in for the fix in February.

Got my Cayenne back yesterday after the bolt repair. Go to start it this morning and low coolant warning comes on. Go to top it up with water in order to get back to the dealer and water pours out on the garage floor. Appears they didn't put something back together correctly. Being towed to the dealer now. Good times!

This is why I laugh to myself when someone tells me they believe the dealership will do the best work.

Exactly! I've never had to take a car back for second time on the same issue to my indie, yet have several times to my dealer. To my independent shop, my business is meaningful at personal and financial level to the owner. Not so much at the big dealers given I'm not buying a GT3 from them every year.

Has this issue been fixed on 2019 and later models?

Should be since they are now Audi engines and not Porsche designs.

Yeah different engine and thus we should expect it to have a different pathological failure mode rather than the same mode.

It's an entirely different motor in 2019 and up. Could be some other set of issues that arise.
