I'm hoping to get a 991.2 GT3 allocation (slim chance it seems) or the next GT4. I tried to buy Garvish's GT4 after I sold mine, but I should have offered him more! That is a great car and very well modded, congrats to your friend on an awesome purchase!
Thanks electron mike!! It's too bad you didn't have a chance to drive 1LE on the track. It's about 13 sec difference on Nordschleife and the main differences are only tire and aero. The Supercar 3R was 2 sec faster than Trofeo R used for Z/28 at VIR. ZL1 1LE is the car I absolutely want to drive one time!! Of course, 991.2 GT3 with manual or 991 GT2RS is another one I want to drive someday too!
I drove my friend's ZL1 1LE at COTA for one session when my car broke. It's definitely faster due to more grip than the regular ZL1, but I still much prefer Porsche GT cars. The weight, visibility, feel, and mechanical issues with the ZL1's still make me want my GT4 back!

That's cool!! I'm sure it's nothing like Porshce After all, Porsche is so well engineered but the Camaro team did a great job too. I've driven previous gen ZL1, Z/28 and SS 1LE and I'm impressed.

I'm so going to lust after the next GT4 if it has a 4.0! That said, I'm on the list at multiple dealers for every new Porsche GT car, and I am still not hopeful I will get one at anything close to MSRP. But I can always hope!

I'd like to submit a new personal best at The Ridge Motorsports Park (Shelton, WA) from yesterday: 1:51.96. The car is still completely stock, including factory alignment. Dunlop rubber this time though.
Without traffic, that would have been sub 8 You drive with PSM off? I don’t find it intrusive (PSM engaging is often a sign o pushed too far) and so I keep it on on Nordschleife (I’m ok to turn it off on GP courses).

Yeah.. traffic... This year I am planning some trackday with less cars.
On Nordschleife I am driving with PSM off (TC on), but on GP tracks I always drive PSM + TC off. I am still bit more cautious on Nordschleife
From my feeling, PSM is cutting off throtle on corner exits and bumps a lot. And brake wear and temperature is way worse with PSM on, because the car is braking individual wheels all the time.

I was out with Porsche Owners Club at Willow Springs this weekend. Best lap was a 1:33.07. I was stuck there most of Sunday. Fun fast fast track. I got a 1:31 in me, I just need bigger um...you know whats. Its a track that rewards being flat from turn 5 through the breaking into turn 9 and minimal breaking into turn 1 from 135mph LOL. I'd definitely like another weekend there soon.
The great thing about the Porsche Owners Club is the quality of drivers and cars you get to benchmark yourself against. Its a racer focused club. Enjoy the videos of one of my fast laps (1:33) and me following a 2017 GT3 Cup car doing some practice laps. I was working, he was coasting.

Comparing fastest lap data from the session you shared with me and the lap above, the main differences are braking later in a few spots (T1, T6, T11) and also carrying more speed into the corner (T1 especially) plus a slightly different line that gets me back to full throttle sooner (T4-T5 and T8a-T8b). I still have to go to school on your approach to T13/14/15
