GT4 G81 Transmission Failure

Thanks Sven. Looks like you were right. I had them pull the diagnostic on the engine. Here's the report. They didn't even know how to explain this report but from what I gather, this is nothing to be alarmed by and the loss of 3rd gear wasn't even responsible for the one noted rev.

So just confirmed with my service tech that the replacement transmission is not new but a "remanufactured" part. I guess that means one of you other poor suckers who had your transmission fail is now going into my car and my failed transmission is going into some later failed car! If Apple told me they were going to be giving me a remanufactured IPhone after my purchasing a new one I'd likely be pissed. Why should I not feel similarly here? Do you think they do more than just replace the 3rd gear and crate it up for install or is there more to refurbishing a transmission? I did confirm that there is no extension of warranty related to the transmission. Not even a loaner car from dealer. Just venting a bit. I get that **** happens and glad that Porsche is attempting to rectify the issue but you'd think that with as many instances of this happening they'd be doing a bit more to reassure their faithful.

According to a fellow on the GT4 Facebook group, Porsche just reached out to replace his transmission under recall for the third gear issue. Good news for when these cars are out of warranty.

First I have heard of it. We know there is a "service bulletin" that came out a while back. A logical precursor to a recall.
I signed up for that FB group and will ask the guy for more details when they let me in.
[Edit]...they let me in the group (that was quick). NOT confirmed there, and I called my dealer and there is no recall on my April 2016 build or any GT4 builds.
[Edit2] The FB poster is in the UK!
