Just watched the video side by side with mine and the bulk of the difference is a much smaller lift in the Esses and then way faster through the busstop.

Couldn't imagine the busstop could be done that fast......

Thoughts?
I'm probably who you think I am. Did my second SCCA race school in 1968 at WGI. I teach 9 and 3 but with the GT4 Sport Wheel I only have my thumbs around the wheel using that position. I prefer all my fingers around the wheel and moved my hand position up.

I used the new CCW wheels with 265 F and 295 R Hoosiers. The sweet spot seemed to be 35 F and 36 R Hot.

The speed is set up during entry. Figure out the brake point that allows you to trail brake to the first curb. If a little too hot, you can brake a little more to make the left.

Default Thunderhill 5 mile Bypass - 3:12.78 - 2 Jun 2017 - Hoosier R7 - Suspension Mods

Temperatures were already scorching and I was on old tires, but I put up a respectable time, especially considering I had never driven the west side bypass. Not to mention that it's been two years since I even ran the 5 mile circuit. Hoosier R7 tires.

Nice. I got a chance to drive with Martin and Potter, but didn't get a chance to drive with you. Hopefully next time. Any Laguna or Sonoma days coming up? Laranja was able to pass without a gps switch using his setup on the clubsport which has no cats or valve switch

Yeah, too bad we missed each other. I said hello to Ben. Potter, Mooty, Martin and I had a really fun session yesterday all going nose-to-tail for a handful of laps.

My next outing is back at TH for the GGR/PCA event at the end of June. No plans on the horizon for LS.

Default Thunderhill 3 mile cyclone - 1:58.7 - 4 Jun 2017 - Hoosier R7 - Suspension Mods

Despite the heat of the Central Valley in June, I did manage a personal best on the cyclone configuration of 1:58.7. I had huge fun chasing and being chased by Mooty, mdkim, Potter and usctrojanGT3.

orthojoe, you're going to have to work a little bit harder.

Nice job! Damn, that's gonna be tough to beat without moving onto R7s. I might try wider front wheels and tires first before that, though. I liked how martin's car felt.

yeah 265/285. I've never driven that setup before. Andrie said he wasn't happy with how 265 felt on his car, and potter ran the same times on 245 and 265. Based on info from 2 really good drivers, I wasn't convinced about 265. However, I was faster in martin's car than my own car, so there's something there. There are confounding factors, though, like ride height, LSD, aero, and suspension components...
