Hi Fast Guys and Gals,
I owe the community an apology not keeping the track times updated in my rankings. I will be going through the posts and will update the rankings over the next few weeks.
Porsche is finally building the car I want - a PDK equipped GT4 which I hope to acquire by next summer.
Question for the community: Should this thread be limited to 981s, or should it also include track times from 4.0 ltr 718s?
All the best, Matt

Just found this thread thanks to Bill Lehman on Cayman Register. Generally there is way too much stuff on rennlist for me to keep track of.
From what I've read there really isn't all that much difference between the 981 and 718 GT4s. I'm just happy to have any comparison data. Because of the weather I've been driving a 2016 GT4 in Assetto Corsa and was looking for some kind of comparative data to find out how bad I am. This is great.
I only hope I can get enough mileage on the new car before the 2021 season starts.

F1 3R is a faster tire , treadwear 100 than RE71R , in my personal opinion but I am not expert.
The grip and limit behavior reminds me the NT01 which I like a lot as it maintains 90+% grip even after lap 7.
RE71R is good also but after lap6, the heat build up seems to reduce the grip more than F1 3R tire.
However, F1 3R will be very poor in wet/water or when cold.
The sidewall is also softer as I notice more rear camber wear than RE71R.
After 8 sessions + 2 happy hour, there is enough tread left to run another weekend but based on tread depth it will not last as long as RE71R
Hope this helps....
I saw a black 718 GT4 , intended to find the owner to chat but lost track.
Maybe we can meet next time.
