Fancy tune, exhaust or just headers? As long as I don't get any codes or problems
Will have all three. The exhaust may be just too much but we will see. I think headers and tune way to go. I will advise when they all go on if exhaust was over board - not afraid to be honest. FVD suggests a tune with their headers but I think to maximize what that mod can do I think the tune the right avenue.

The funny thing is just looking at all this beautiful hardware gets me excited. This will either be the best sounding Porsche or just way too much. "Go Big or Go Home"-I guess. But - I think with the Sport headers w/ cats I will be fine. Race headers may be a whole different league. Between the exhaust and my lithium batter I need to install she will be dropping more than 50 lbs which is pretty cool. I am going to get her weighed afterwards.

I've just bought, received the My Genius tool.
Read and send email to FVD few hours ago.
Interested to know is it normal to only extract a .fpf file only 7kb in size??

I have not done it yet but I heard the extracted file is surprising small and does not take much time to extract- let us know what you learn because I will be doing mine when I hit close to 1000 miles.

Also - did you need to keep your battery on a charger when extracting?

I went through the process with my 997.2 so my experience may not be applicable to your GT4s. The .fpf file for mine was 1MB and yes, it is a good idea to have it on a charger to eliminate the possibility of "bricking" your DME. Learned the hard way.
YMMV of course.

So if you put on the trickle charger you should be fine?

Yes. On 997s, the car switches the fans on when flashing whether its being done with a MyGenius or a PIWIS. A fully charged battery should be sufficient, but connecting the trickle charger eliminates the possibility. I hooked up the trickle charger the night before flashing and left it connected until the process was complete and it worked fine!

I switched off the lights , fan and PCM when I extract my file from the OBD port using the My Genius Tool.
The Car Starts well after the extraction ofcourse.
I will run the car for some time, let the battery charged before I do the Upload process for sure.

The My Genius Tool for the 981 will generate an ID file. The ID file is only 5-10 Kb or so. The ID file will let FVD Germany know which OEM file is loaded on your car. FVD Germany will then match up the ID file to what they have and then alter it and send you back the tuned file. We only request the ID as this is a quicker more accurate way to transmit data.

😎That's explained everything!! I've got the new Map in my inbox today. waiting for the installation of my header and IPD 82mm throttlr body then I will remap it.
I will use dynolicious app to log the performance gain.
1:stock
2:header and intake
3:header intake and remap.
and see the difference in result.
report back soon
