When she said it locked - does that mean your order is locked, i.e. V250? If that is the case no changes can be made whatsoever.

PM sent btw.

If your order is locked, you're out of luck. It has nothing to do with availability of the lwb. You just can't change anything once locked.

I have solved most of that for my wife in the Spyder as I had a custom drop in cushion made that make it easier for her to get out over the side bolster. It's a sports car enjoy, and most likely the last of the normally aspirated sports cars to come out of Porsche
You sir are awesome

Your logic about the switching scenarios does make some sense, as long as you're ok not having side airbags with the aftermarket buckets.
I called my dealer parts department and he said the 997 foldable bucket is the only complete seat porsche sells at this time (another thread mentions the current fixed bucket may be available towards EOY), although I could piece together any seat by buying the individual parts.
There is the 4 way sport seat office chair for ~5K that may be adaptable though.
Yeah, not that concerned about side airbags, as I would be switching the driver seat then trailering to the track.

I also hope there isn't a "Stop Order" issued again for the Sport Buckets.
As I mentioned earlier (and your dealer should know this), even though other people have been able to order and approved LWBS with a April Allocation, if a Stop Order issue is in place, it won't matter. The way the Porsche ordering system works is you have to get your order submitted and approved within a certain time window they are offered. Once the quota is maxed out, Porsche issues a "Stop Order". So if no "Stop Order" was issued from Porsche you should be ok.
I believe she's referring to the "stop order". I can't believe they would've had a stop order as early as December 3 when I received my allocation and asked if they were available!

He said "V200"
And his SA is not able to get LWBS accepted when trying to add them...
Sound like to me that the LWBS window has closed again

You're right. Weird.

I put in for LWB the millisecond it became available on the first week of November. I've made tons of changes to the order during that time - color, leather options, sports chromo, etc. I even changed the color while it was in freeze point. That said, I never once touched the seats. I just locked with the LWB, so it seems like it should hopefully be a go.

This would be my guess too. While in V200, you can update your order but the option you want to add might not be available. When I 1st placed my order with LWBs, the order came back with any error. Did your SA run into this while trying to update your order?

That would be devastating if true. I hope they clear up their LWB pipeline by the time February allocations roll around.

This information may or may not be helpful since I have an April build date, but my order was entered into the system on 12/21/15 with LWB and accepted at V200 status. I haven't made any changes to my order and am crossing my fingers that seat option isn't pulled prior to my lock date.

I will ask her exactly what message she gets. I am going to call her with the information I have tonight. So far 3 people sent me their dealership, lock/build/delivery date.

Can you please PM me the dealership? It seems you were able to get LWB 2 weeks after she told me they were unavailable. I tried 12/3 and 12/4 and she said they were a no go.

Yes and no.

I remember my order wouldn't allow the dealership to add anything else even so the dealer system screen showed open with a lock date approx 2 weeks away. Wound up having to call PCNA who then reopened, added the option and closed it again.

Weird, I wonder why the dealer screen was open but they couldn't change.

If V250, then you are SOL. I had this happen with my GT3 one week before LWB were announced for that car and they couldn't change it. Talked to PCNA and their hand were tied. I ended up with a different allocation

Usually this kicks back v100 if Porsche had put a freeze on the option, correct?

Maybe the dealer is paraphrasing for the OP and is not getting into the details...

I am very concerned right now.

I have my build sheet w. Comm, No. and my status is V200-Delivery date not determined. He said it was like a May build June delivery. I have the LWBs on sheet.

So - it is possible before it locks they can tell me "no buckets for you"??

If so - I am not selling my GT3 until I know I am getting buckets. That may sound silly but LWBs are important to me. The combo of Carmine Red, LWBs, and PCCBs is the package I want that I could not get or elected not(PCCBs) that completes this dream car for me.
