This option has been haunting me lol. I'm 1-2 weeks away from my lock date.

I wonder how easy it would be to swap out LWBS for 2-way/18-way. I'm considering ordering the LWBS (if available) and possibly swapping out the passenger seat for 2-way/18-way+cash if someone wants to have one LWB seat. That way I'd be happy, my lady would be happy, and someone who wants LWBS would be happy lol.

There's a thread about this swap running right now, but while having one of each might seem to be the best of both worlds, I think it would look strange and will really mess up resale prospects. If you want to do this route I wouldn't sell the passenger LWB.

Yes, BGB's thread, but still no definitive answer :/

Definitely having 1 of each may be the best of both worlds, but I agree that it would look odd and affect resale as well. I think if she really doesn't like the LWBS then maybe I should just swap out both seats for 2-way/18-way. I don't think I'd have a problem selling LWBS lol.
There's also a possibility she might not mind the LWBS as well.

Either get it or don't. Splitting up the seats is just an odd choice in my opinion.

Honestly - is she really going to raise that much hell about the seats? It's a noisy, two seater sports car with a crappy stereo. It's not like the 18 ways are going to turn it into a Lexus.

My wife could not care less about high performance cars, but she gets that this is a GT division Porsche and it's natural for it to have these seats, so she's all in. I'm betting yours will feel the same way too.

Bruh...you got an MDX for daily. Go all out with this GT car and check the LWBS option. I did and never looked back.

I'm leaning towards LWBS. I'm hoping they're available.

Yes, but I'd like to use the GT4 as often as I can, weather permitting. My lock date is my birthday so if it's available Ill prob get the LWBS as a gift to myself.

I could make a comment about young people .. but I won't. My wife and I are both over 70 and LWB are incoming in our GT4. We also have the LWB in our 2012 Boxster Spyder and have traveled all over the country in it. We both think they are very comfortable just perhaps a little challenging getting out. I have solved most of that for my wife in the Spyder as I had a custom drop in cushion made that make it easier for her to get out over the side bolster. It's a sports car enjoy, and most likely the last of the normally aspirated sports cars to come out of Porsche

I'm interested to hear the comment
Oh wow that's awesome! You definitely swayed me towards LWB. If they're available I will order them. I'm planning on always having a GT car and I'd love for my lady and I to grow old in LWB's.

Notwithstanding my statement above. Two years ago I found a pristine 2011 GT 3 optioned exactly as I would have ordered it except it had the 18 way seats ( good seats that I have in our Cayenne Diesel). I bought the car, still have it and was able to get some LWB for it and was going to instal them when my lovely wife said " why not have one car with sofa seats" so I sold the LWB's BAD MOVE as she now likes the LWB better than the 18 way. Moral get the LWB and you can always change out later

My order is still at 210, and I put out a feeler here on possibly ordering LWBs then trade plus cash with someone with red stitch 18 ways if I don't like them (no response), but after sitting in the 18 ways at the dealer yesterday I think they will be fine.
The adjustable side bolsters at the seat and backrest of the 18 ways snug me in well, I'm 5' 9" and 32" waist, but I can open them up for light duty street use or ease of entry and exit.
It's harder to move from LWBs to aftermarket multi way adjustable sofas (is there such an option?), than going from the 18 ways to aftermarket HANS buckets similar to what's in the GT4 Cup.

UPDATE:
Hi everyone! I need your help! I'm currently v200. My build is February with April 29 delivery.

If your build/delivery is around that and you have LWBs in your build, please let me know:
1. When is your lock/build/delivery date?
2. What date your LWB order got accepted?
3. What dealership?

My SA says it would help her and her and the owner will look into getting me LWB if possible. I would love to get LWB seats.
0She said when she tried to put the seats and PCNA put a lock on being able to get the seats.

Thanks so much in advance!

Last night I had a talk with my lady about the LWB and mentioned other people's experiences with them, especially F4's experience and she said "okay". Hahah apparently I was way more concerned about her comfort than she was. Now I need to get the seats!

I don't know of aftermarket sofa seats, likely because Porsche already sets a pretty high bar here, so I doubt it would be economical for a competitor. Instead, if you ordered LWBs and didn't like them, I would think you could just order the OEM sofas as parts from Porsche. Your logic about the switching scenarios does make some sense, as long as you're ok not having side airbags with the aftermarket buckets.

Good luck... I hope you are able to get them.
I also hope there isn't a "Stop Order" issued again for the Sport Buckets.
As I mentioned earlier (and your dealer should know this), even though other people have been able to order and approved LWBS with a April Allocation, if a Stop Order issue is in place, it won't matter. The way the Porsche ordering system works is you have to get your order submitted and approved within a certain time window they are offered. Once the quota is maxed out, Porsche issues a "Stop Order". So if no "Stop Order" was issued from Porsche you should be ok.
