I haven't notice any difference, but I haven't had a chance to really push the car at all. Hopefully, we can all get back on the track soon!

Agree. Hopefully when the ZR1 comes out they'll give it the race car shorter rear end. Nobody needs to lug around two bags off golf clubs or whatever they say can fit back there.

Just had the 4 year service done - New plugs, brake fluid flush, oil change, assorted filters plus a 4 wheel alignment. Looking forward to the long weekend on my 2 and 4 wheeled toys.

There was a discussion about this recently and I am curious about the cost of this service and whether you did it at Porsche or an indy. Also, in what general part of the country are you located?

Enjoy your enhanced ride!

Thanks for your reply. 4-year service was $1,542 for new plugs installed, brake fluid flush & replacement, engine oil & filter replacement, 1 cabin air and 1 cabin odor/allergen filter. Expensive, but less than most in the other thread that I think you're referring to. It was my local Porsche dealer in a city north of the "Pacific NW."

Picked up the car from the dealer after service. In addition to the four-year service, also mounted new RE71s (which I bought a year or so ago) and new brake pads. Though I bought a set of Ferodo DS1.11 (FCP 4665W and 4664W) brake pads a while ago, I never installed them and simply installed another set of OEM pads that served me very well. (So, if anyone's interested in an NIB set of Ferodo DS1.11s [FCP 4665W and 4664W], let me know--$800, compared with about $950 list.)

After wandering around the Porsche corral for a while, trying other cars--997 TT, 991 C4S w X51, 993s--the GT4 is still my favorite.

Might even venture out on to the track later this month for the first time in nearly two years.

Of course I am biased, but Porsche hit it out of the park with this car.

I am SO happy to see a fellow Rhodium Silver owner! And our Guard's Red accents are so nice on this color.

Installed a complete set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 w/4-wheel alignment since the Dunlop's no longer avail.
Initial impressions on short ride home:
1. Definitely a "prettier" tire with lots of curb appeal, lol.
2. Definitely felt not as "planted/on-rails" as the Dunlop's.
3. Definitely a sticky tire with a tad bit of "float" to it?

Thanks for this update, Slip. I'll be interested in your feedback on the Cup 2s after a track day or two. Faced with the same dilemma (OEM Dunlops no longer being available), I opted for the Bridgestone RE71s based on some input from members on this forum. Had them recently installed in conjunction w/4-wheel alignment. Jury still out as I've not yet put a solid heat cycle on them. More as I know it.

I had never thought about running Bridgestone. Is that an OEM recommendation?
I am hesitant to go with any other brand if not OEM to affect resale value?
Can say that after a few spirited miles today, the PSC2s are definitely “floatier” than the Dunlop’s, and not as “rigid.” Now have better ride comfort, but who the fuss actually owns one of these bad boys for that?! Lol.

That stick shift highlight is BOMB! Very nice touches all about! Factory or you do all that afterward?
