Upgraded to Brembo type 3 discs and RE10 pads.

Cleaned air filters, changed oil, bled brakes, put on track tires - getting ready for VIR in 10 days.

Edit: forgot to mention, I saw some buildup underneath and it is coming from the oil filler - new oil dripping down and seeping through. I watched the oil as I filled it (since I had it open for the air filter cleaning) and, man, do you have to fill is slow to avoid oil running over the yellow thing and out underneath the plastic where you can't see it.

Did you notice any significant dust inside of your intake after removing the BMC filters? I'm curious how well they filter dirt. I have a new set sitting and never installed them. I keep thinking about when I had an oiled filter in my Aprilia and how the air box had a layer of dust inside. I went back to stock paper filter afterwards.

The inside was very clean. I did not even think to wipe it down it was so clean. It is possible I did some cleaning last year, but I do not believe I did. This is the second time I have cleaned them, so I suppose I've had them for 3 years. They initially came oiled, then I re-oiled them for the first time after a year. I put WAY too much oil on the first time. Even after letting them sit for an hour or so before install, I had a bunch of oil drip out and make its way to the underneath part of the car. There is a drain of some sort in the air channel. Had to clean all that up. So, I learned my lesson and used much less oil this time, and it looked much better. I live in NC and try not to drive during pollen season (starting now or soon). We get that yellow fog that can last from a few days to a week or more. I don't know for sure, but seems like that would clog up the air filter to some extent.

They don't filter as well but as with everything there is always a trade off.

Good video. Now I know the rationale for getting the DeMan 4.5L upgrade - ruined the 3.8 with overly large particles getting through the filter!!
