Looks awesome! Did you do powder coat or paint? If powder coat, what color/finish did you pick?

Interesting the rear flange on your headers looks different than mine. Are those structural vanes?

Ooooo those are fancy. Def new design from v1. I heard DMS has gone through several revisions since the first batch so interesting to see the evolution of the headers...

Earlier this week, I had new spark plugs and coils put in. I also had the shop install heat shields over the coils. Yesterday, I changed the oil and transmission fluid as well as replacing the air filters. She's ready to go when the tracks open!

aualexa2, what was the justification for replacing plugs and coils, track mileage/time, or just prophylactic/proactive maintenance? GT Silver is such as good color for these cars. Thanks for the pic.

Was all prophylactic. The 4 year major service includes spark plug change. I decided to have the coils replaced at the same. Other maintenance items were checking the drive belt, new wipers, and changing the cabin and frunk filters for the ventilation system.

I am guessing you did this at a pcar service stealership? If you don't mind me asking, what was the damage?

What were the conditions of the sparks when they came out? Notice any difference after the service?

I am just curious, bc I know you track and just wondering how much that affects the parts in question.

GTS_ninja,

I had the plugs/coils changed and the drive belt inspected at my local indy. I supplied parts. Cost was a little under $500 after tax. I didn't see the plugs myself, but they said there was nothing out of the ordinary. I did the rest of the work on my own. I haven't notice any difference, but I haven't had a chance to really push the car at all. Hopefully, we can all get back on the track soon!

So I'm lucky enough to live 10 minutes from some beautiful mountains with endless twisty roads. Today it was gorgeous so I had to take the car out! While I was out I ran into some folks driving these beauties......what was really cool was one of them wants a 718 GT4 and was really interested in my car (they were actually all interested in the GT4)

. I've had the car for about three months now. Absolute blast to drive in every sense. I've owned faster cars, but I've never owned a more engaging car with more balance and "fun factor". This is the one. And that manual.......my god, perfection!

Of course they'd all be interested, the GT4 is a brilliant machine.

BTW a freind has a Mac 650s and looks identical to the one in your photo including paint and orange trim.

I just can't get on board with the C8 styling. I was the same way for a LONG time on the C7 (basically until the Z06 came out). The interior is an abomination (but maybe not by corvette standards).

Agreed with the above comment about styling. That rear quarter panel is something else and too many styling cues seem to have been lifted from other sports cars.

I was waiting until I saw one in the flesh to pass judgement and I finally have. Look how simple and beautiful that gt4 looks in between those two!
