somebody asked me regarding overall feelings regarding my car.
This is easily the most trouble free car I have ever owned.
no issues whatsoever except related to hitting a dead deer on the road in the middle of the night and likewise some exhaust debris before sunrise one day.
have had to replace the nose 2 x because of that.
otherwise I do the routine maintenance meticulously, otherwise it is my daily driver. I don’t drive it in heavy snow (nose wants to be a snow plow) and I leave it inside when there is a threat of hail or tornados (I live in Oklahoma).
The nose has some rock strikes and I had to replace the windshield for a rock strike.
replaced the brake discs, front x 2 but the rears not till 100k
Swapped her for a week with my buddy who owns a gen 1 991gt3 to see if I liked it better as a daily driver and honestly it has more room so I could put my golf clubs in the back instead of the passenger seat but otherwise I was driven to go spend 150k on a GT3.
my extended warranty runs out at about 126k so I may think about it but it’s paid for, still runs well and no one is going to give me what I think it’s worth lol so I am gonna keep it and will it to my grandson assuming they still sell gas when he is old enough to drive

You are fortunate! I just made my 5th service appointment, for a 6th repair issue. One issue necessitating three appointments to two different dealers, all since picking up my CPO in late July. While not really the car's issue, those don't include the three flats I had in the first two weeks of ownership...or the leaky exhaust which had to be replaced, delaying my acquisition, after the transmission replacement for the 3rd gear issue.
For the windshield, have you thought about covering with a protective film, e.g. Alchemy Exoshield?
Oh yeah...spent some of the other day sopping out 2oz. of coolant, because 30oz. was too much:
I couldn't figure out how to lower the level efficiently, so I wound up letting the engine run for a few minutes with the coolant cap on, then sopping up whatever spilled into the over flow area.
I still have the error, but temps seem to be normal, in both normal, and sport modes.

I don't know if you have read fault codes or what else you have checked, but I had a similar fault message caused by a vacum hose being squeezed or something like that, after I had the transmission replaced. So check vacum hoses and valves (controlling also PSE exhaust valves). (BTW, I also thought it was too much coolant at first and managed to pull out the max/min part for easier access to suck out fluid with a brake fluid caliper suction tool. It snapped into it's place again).

Good lookin' out...yeah, I read that a vacuum leak could be an issue. Tranny was replaced at purchase, as well as right muffler (leak). Cooling seems to be working, as well as exhaust opening/closing...but leak could just be slight. It did look like I could pull that Max/Min cover, but I didn't want to force it, and just overall tired of dealing with all the issues since purchase.
I'm more concerned about the amount of coolant loss. Given that my air filters were so dirty, I don't doubt that the coolant level wasn't checked by the dealer for CPO certification. So no way of knowing if its a recent problem...hoping no coolant in the oil, but with my luck...

Awesome to hear about the miles and your experience with the car! Makes me want to drive the crap out of mine and just keep it forever.

I suspect it is the highest mileage GT4 in the world but no way to verify it.

agree about trouble-free, was really nervous about the tranny campaign
keeping fingers crossed that the new tranny does as well as the first one
also ran over a deer carcass in the middle of the road at night, saw it too late to do anything, fortunately no damage
Congrats! I see you opted for a 981 with 18-ways, mine has the same.
After driving a friends 981 with the buckets, I'm so glad I have the 18-ways.
I took my 2004 R32 out for a run yesterday and kind of wonder what it would be like to have the 18 ways instead of the racing seats.
It's not that I dont enjoy the racing seats or have back problems or issues getting in and out of the GT4. It's just that our roads here in the San Francisco East Bay have gone to hell and they literally jar your fillings loose.

I'll likely get told I'm wrong here, but, my personal opinion is that the 18-ways are the best blend of comfort when you want it and aggressive seating when required; thanks to the adjust-ability.
The LWBs are awesome looking, no doubt. But, when you consider most of the drivers out there, many likely can't push our cars to the limits of needing the LWBs. Factor that in with me discussing with folks that actually use their GT4's as track only cars, that were originally optioned with LWBs, only to find out that they discovered the LWBs under performed for their needs and they've swapped to a dedicated racing seat from someone like Recaro and the LWB allure quickly fades for me.
To me, the best form of a dual purpose sports car (back road cruising, AutoX, and Track use) is the 18-ways whereas the LWBs are best for wow factor and (for some) exclusive motorsports use. Also, having heated seats for those cool spring/fall drives is nice, I like my heated seats.
PS - It's way easier to swap from 18-ways to LWBs if someone ever wanted to vs going from LWBs to 18-ways. A lot more wiring involved, especially if you want the heated functionality to work.
