Advanced
Definitely a 1:06 in it, I did that with a Spyder on Cup2s (265 rear)
Probably just need a few more laps, go a bit harder in a few places.
I’m planning to be back there soon, Oct 25? Maybe meet some of you guys.

Yeah. There are two seconds in the first half of the lap. If you want some guidance....keep reading. I had a good lesson at a PR tech day last year...David Wall (pro Porsche driver) took me around in my 997.1 GT3 road car, on my commute street rubber (khumo ps91) and nailed 1.05's , so this is sharing that lesson. It helped me into 4s on semis. Not bragging just sharing.
Eg your speed into kink can add maybe 20-30kmh (seriously ) by not backing off like you did, then brake extremely hard into t2 and lift a little earlier back off the brake and come in a little hotter in to t2, way hotter potential into the loop over the top as it's heavily cambered as well as uphill, then your speed down the hill and through the right with the Rhs rubber literally over the ripple on the right should see you into low 5s with just that.
Good luck, your driving really well!
P.s. What video and data system did you use to film that, its cool?

I thought 1.05s were possible on Trofeos, because a little more grip means I can go hotter into more corners. The best lap above I did included a little loss of traction at T8 because too much throttle out, and also taking T11 on the inside, slower than usual to overtake the 86. Just by fixing those 2 things I would have seen a low-mid 1.06.
If I follow your suggestions and sort out the others and add Trofeos I might aim for a 1.04.xx as a stretch target. lol.
I use Harrys Lap Timer App on my phone for the timing and it overlays the data on to the video when you are ready.
- Video is recorded on my GoPro,
- Have an OBDII dongle plugged into the car with sends the car data to my phone via bluetooth (speed, throttle, g-force etc..)
- A GPS device mounted to the car, also connected via bluetooth to my phone. This allows the in app timing to be more accurate. e.g. The App recorded a 1.07.11 as the best lap, the official days timing device recorded a 1.07.104.
Once they are all connected you select your track in the App and go race. Automatically detects start/finish line, has great day and it automatically links the GoPro footage so very easy to do the overlay. They have great documentation on their website if you want more info - http://www.gps-laptimer.de/

With Turn 1 at Wakefield the key is simply to ignore it completely. Stay left and turn in at the end of the barriers then eyeball your entry point for turn 2 and head straight at it. Ignore the kink completely as it becomes irrelevant and you're set up nicely to brake in a straight line and turn in clean to 2.

well, mine lost 3rd gear @ today's Burrow's run.
Very uneventful, just went 2nd > 3rd and it freely revved out...
May/June 16 build, and 5,000km's
apparently a 6-8 week wait on a replacement box

Mine is a May/June 16 build and about 6500kms, with ~10 track days so should be coming up soon.
3rd that I know of. 1 in QLD and Warwick had his go a few months ago in Sydney.

I guess one thing to consider is over rev issues, essentially you are winding out 2nd into 3rd and stomping on the gas, as the drive-line is not engaged you will over rev the **** out of it if not quick enough to spot the issue. mine didnt bang or knock or have any vibrations to give you the heads up.

PCSS, I'm sure they will do the right thing...

Hopefully mine can hold out til after Bathurst, have 4 tracks days in the next 6 weeks including the Bathurst weekend.
