a friend of mine has a wk 1 June build that he is picking up end of August from PCSS as well, looking at a few options to take the cars to EC in September

For those train spotters like me, ask you dealer to keep all the build tags and stickers off the car that they dispose of during the PDI.
Just a nice memento to keep.

I'm not pushing for it, i asked for wk 1 in August as I'm traveling throughout July. Also i need to figure out where to keep it as I'm running out of space.

Both, as one relates to the other. Having said that, the main reason I got them is heat, as I think the HP gains are not significant.
The theory is that the exhaust gases stay hotter and faster flowing as they are more insulated from the outside air temps. Additionally as the heat is retained less gets up into the engine bay leading to heat soak and affecting air intake temps.
Shakenbake melted some wiring on his naked headers (I think mostly due to cable management issues), so I didn't want to take any chances and I don't really want to revisit the work once its done. Do it properly and don't worry about it was my thinking.
