The Porsche preview at the Auto Show is going to have some interesting unveils! I'm even excited about the new Macan as I'm looking to pick one up in a few months when I trade in my MDX.

Nice! Not sure I can make that one but it's definitely something I'm interested in.

Excited to see the Macan as that is likely my next move, need utility without sacrificing fun What's new about the Macan other than the 4-cyl intro - is it actually a facelift? A bit early me thinks for that (even though its technically 3 MYs given 2016 was an awfully short run while 2015 was loooong).

Apparently it's a very minor exterior tweak. Looking at the pics, I can hardly tell the difference.

2017 Macan Details

The 2017 Macan will begin production in for the US (and possibly the rest of the world) on January 4, 2016. I guess that means the 2016 will be a bit of a rare bird since it was really only half a model year. Here are some details: Macan S Base=$54,400 (+$1,800) Macan GTS Base=$67,200 Macan Turbo Base=$76,000 (+$2,100) Standard Equipment - New generation of Porsche Communication Management, including SiriusXM® and HD Radio receivers as standard - ParkAssist front and rear including reversing camera now standard in all Macan models. - Lane departure warning now standard in all Macan models - Comfort Lighting package now standard in all Macan models Optional Equipment - New LED headlights including PDLS+ available as i-option - New generation of Porsche Communication Management incl Navigation module, including MapCare (std Turbo) - New Connect, only icw PCM, adds Apple CarPlayTM and Porsche Car Connect functionality - New Connect Plus, only icw PCM incl Nav, adds Apple CarPlayTM, online navigation, Wifi hotspot, real time traffic info, telephone module Macan Turbo PDK $ 73,900 $ 76,000 $ 2,100 2.8% For vehicles entering production on January 4th (SOP CW2 2016) and increased Porsche Car Connect functionality - New Alcantara® multifunction steering wheel including steering wheel heating - New Brushed Aluminum interior package in black (GTS only) - New PSM Sport mode, increased functionality included with Sport Chrono Package (GTS only) - New Exterior Colors: Volcano Grey Metallic (all models), Night Blue Metallic (all models), Carmine Red (GTS only) - New Macan Turbo Exterior and Interior packages available in Rhodium Silver or Garnet Red (Macan Turbo only) - New Exc offer Deviated stitching interior packages - New Exc offer Deviated leather seating centers - Discontinued Exterior colors: Agate Grey Metallic, Dark Blue Metallic, and Impulse Red Metallic Infotainment Porsche Communication Management As well as the integrated standard CD/DVD drive, the new PCM has an USB interface. An iPod-compatible USB interface can be found in the storage compartment of the center console. Music can also be played via an inserted SD card in two SD interfaces below the touchscreen. The model year sees the introduction of the new genera- tion of Porsche Communication Management (PCM) to the Macan model range. It includes completely new, powerful hardware with a high-resolution 7-inch color touchscreen. It forms the basis for a modern user interface with the multitouch gesture control familiar from smartphones. As well as this, there are proximity sensors for even smarter operation. Using the standard mobile phone preparation, mobile phones that support the Hands-Free Profile (HFP) can be easily connected via Bluetooth®. The basic functions of the mobile phone can be operated via the PCM. Infotainment – Individual options The three modules open up new possibilities for the Macan models to interact with the mobile world: 1. The optionally available Connect module takes over the basic functions. The module Apple® CarPlay including “Siri”® voice control and Porsche Car Connect. 2. The navigation module contains improved map displays and can display maps either in two dimensions or with a perspective view thanks to the powerful hardware. 3D displays are also possible in selected areas. 3. The Connect Plus module that is available in combination with the navigation module opens up completely new possibilities for integrating the smartphone into the PCM and the use of online functions (information and navigation systems, wireless Internet access (hotspot) for Wi-Fi devices and LTE telephone module. LED headlights incl. PDLS+ Technology An all-LED-headlight system is offered for the first time for the Macan models. This includes the following: - Headlights with low/high beam - Auxiliary LED high beam - Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+) In addition to the familiar light functions of PDLS, the term Plus indicates the additional functions “dynamic high beam” The dynamic high beam uses a camera installed in the mirror base or behind the windshield to recognize the light sources of oncoming and preceding vehicles for continuous adjustment of the beam length between low and high beams (including auxiliary high beam). The advantage of this system is the consistent use of the full lighting potential without blinding other drivers. Design Visually, the all LED headlights differ markedly from the Bi-XenonTM headlights. Instead of a conical light housing with a round projection lens and auxiliary headlights, the all-LED headlights consist of a projection module as a spotlight and additional front modules. The dynamic design of the LED headlights is complemented by an attractive color scheme in the individual headlight components. Turbo exterior and interior packages for Macan Turbo For the first time there is an option of giving the exterior and interior of the Macan Turbo a particularly sporty accent as was previously only familiar from the GTS models. High-quality equipment system in combination with a heavy focus on sporty design and exclusivity. Parts/features The Turbo exterior package emphasizes its exclusivity and sportiness with: - 21-inch 911 Turbo Design wheels, two-tone black (exclusively in the package) - LED headlights with PDLS+ - Air intakes painted in high-gloss black - Exterior package in high-gloss black - SportDesign exterior mirrors - Wheel hub with colored Porsche crest - Tinted LED taillights - Sport exhaust system with black tailpipes - From the SportDesign package: Roof spoiler in the exterior color, rear fascia and side blades in black (high-gloss) The Turbo interior package is orientated to the leather/Alcantara® features familiar from the Macan GTS. The deviated stitching is in Rhodium Silver or Garnet Red. The following parts are included in the Rhodium Silver / Garnet Red Turbo interior packages: - Black leather interior with Alcantara® features on the seat center and armrests of the center console and door panel - Deviated stitching in the contrasting colors Rhodium Silver or Garnet Red on the instrument panel, floor mats, seats and door panel - Front headrests and outer rear seats with “turbo” logo stitched in the contrasting color - Carbon Fiber door entry guards with illuminated model logo - Carbon Fiber interior package Offer structure The exterior and interior packages can be ordered separately. This means the Macan Turbo vehicles can be individualized to a even greater degree. The exterior and interior Turbo package is solely available with the mentioned package content. Exterior color range The exterior color range has 4 changes for MY17. 1) Volcano Grey Metallic replaces Agate Grey Metallic (new color) 2) Night Blue Metallic replaces Dark Blue Metallic (new name) 3) Impulse Red Metallic has been discontinued 4) Carmine Red is available as an exclusive special color for the Macan GTS

I'm Still on wait-list. Doesn't look like I'll make the breakfast. But I'll go when the show is open to the public.

Same here - continually on the wait list. I frankly don't think it will ever clear as it required a pre-payment. There will be no-shows I am guessing, but not anything that would formally open up the list (hence why I think it if was limited to 200 ppl they should have allowed 210-220 factoring a 5-10% no show).

Keep in mind some dealers have invites of their own, so perhaps checking in with your SA if you can be his +1

Finally took delivery yesterday! Can't get over how good she looks ... especially in Guards. Drove about 55 miles straight to my detailer with the vulnerable ares covered in blue tape ... should have her back next weekend and can start braking her in!

Wow you guys are so protective. I drove mine unprotected and still have not had time to go get it covered. I already got a stone chip but in windshield not paint.
