I've read very good things about Jimmy, but one person doesn't make up a good service dept. The incompetence, disrespect, and terrible attitude from Fairfield's service group will never be forgotten.

When your car gets returned to you for the third time with the same problem not fixed, as well as damage to the front bumper, and the manager says to you, "well, what do you want me to do about it?" that's total BS.

I wouldn't trust them to put gas in my car

If you want to avoid dealers and don't mind driving a bit further, you could try Speedsport Tuning in Danbury. I used them to service my BMW and they were great. They build race cars and work on many GT cars.

All new engines will burn a bit of oil. Two bars is still OK. I didn't change my oil and filter until break in was over at around 1700 miles.

You can always get a quart of Mobil 1 and CAREFULLY top it off to 3 bars. Remember. Each bar is about 200 ml.

Thanks for all the input. I reached out to SST, but they seem to only be open during the week when I am working so I am not sure I can make that happen. Will look into contacting Jimmy as well.

I can easily understand not wanting to "ruin" such an expensive car, but do you guys do basic maintenance on your cars? I'm no expert, but I confidently can say that doing small repairs on your car is a great reason to own it in the first place. Doing an oil change is a great place to start. Any tools you buy will basically last the rest of your lifetime. Regardless, you can't frame it as a cost issue (b/c with oppty cost, it's not worth it, just pay to have it done), but if you look at it from a self-improvement hobby, it's as good a hobby as it gets.

just heard my GT4 has been released from the port! Heading from Houston to Tulsa.... Then I'm having it shipped two weeks from today to NJ.

What an adventure to get a late production car at MSRP but got one!!!

Darkalley36, congrats on your impending GT4. Would you mind sharing some details on it? Also, what part of NJ are you from? Enjoy the anticipation!

I'm in Bedminster. I think I get almost every leather and carbon fiber option they offered! Without Ceramic brakes and my msrp is still $109k. Over the top but excited!

Peter,

You have several options right in Huntington but I prefer Lynmor. I use them exclusively. I used to live in Huntington.

Auto sport is having a cars and coffee this sat morning. Stop by.

John
