Default Small world in the middle of nowhere

Arrived at INDE Motorsports Ranch for 2 days of driving practice with a coach. There’s only one other driver here. His primary car is a Clubsport GT4 with DeMan conversion. What are the odds of that? I am over an hour from the nearest metro, and 3+ hours from Phoenix. The other guy says, whoever is slower on the straightaway tomorrow has to call Rick and complain.

view from my casita. Track and high desert.

Scott,

What color is the Clubsport GT4?

Waiting to hear who takes it tomorrow.

By the way, there will be 3 DeMan cars at DE this coming weekend. Wooo!

Phil, is that you?

Can't wait to have our cars on track together! Glad you did it. Hope you love it!

I had another 4.5l owner drive it and he felt the same, so I called Rick and sent it back to him. He drove it and agreed something was wrong. No CEL or codes were present. The shop pulled the engine, complete disassembly only to find nothing wrong, put it back in and still not making all the power. Pulled it again and tried it in another car and it showed a code for the MAP sensor, with that changed the engine made all the power as advertised. I have about 1k on it since getting it back, and it is running great. Rick and his team went through many hoops to find the issue and make sure the car was properly sorted, all at no cost to me. Still no clue as to why my car didn't show a code for the failed MAP sensor. That would have save much time/expense. Looking back, it seems the car didn't make much torque compared to now, and the throttle was less sensitive so I have put that in my 'memory bank' in case the sensor fails again with no CEL/codes. I have full confidence in Rick and his team to keep his customers happy with a proper build.
Ducsfly, the exact same thing happened to me. Rick initially thought it was a fuel pump, so he put a new one in. Tried a few other things, then went through the same process that you described. Same problem, bad MAP sensor and no CEL trigger. Rick really stood by his work and did not charge me a dime. Great service!

Phil didn't drive Tuesday, so we'll have to have our showdown on another date. The car ran well. Lots of room for me to grow into it, skillwise.

kind of makes me want to pick up a GT3 and convert it although it’s a shame Guards doesn’t offer shorter GT3 gears. I am quite fond of my 2nd gear redline at 68mph with the 4.5L

Then some of you guys need to tell that guy to relax, and not cross double yellows...let alone stay over them.

I don’t want to be labeled as being presumptuous in judging a book by a cover but being that he is from Miami, wears flamboyant colors, has a dapper hairstyle, makes gestures towards his nose, that he has never done cocaine in his life.

I didn't want to be the one that said, "that dude is on cocaine", but, that dude's energy level was really "high".
