Just another very satisfied(along with dozens of other 4.5L owners) customer who doesn’t appreciate you trying to somehow find a flaw in an incredible shop and their product

"Flaw"? Sounded more like an accusation of something nefarious, such as a motor stealing scam, not unlike those Spoon engines in Hector's possession, right before Race Wars.

With the unobtanium GT4RS coming at a big price and overs I expect another flurry of DeMan 4.5s to get done!!! I am sorely tempted even if it means my car is out is service fir several months !

I drove a 991.2 GT3 Manual today.
The only thing that was standout over my car and it’s current set up was engine with nice midrange punch and then the revs to 9k (which is difficult to achieve on the road in manual)
Big power in a GT4 turns it into absolute weaponry.

There’s a 4.2x being built in the UK over the winter. Results will be interesting.

How are YOU involved here? You're not the customer, and clearly don't even own one of these.

But since you're fighting a battle that isn't yours, at least pretend to be fair and don't conveniently forget to describe how your friends' replacement block is doing after the build...

Custom ECU tunes are still possible, but they have to be registered with CARB. I have no idea what that approval process takes. https://www.thedrive.com/cars-101/41...tune-flash-faq

@Rick DeMan Can you add me back into the 4.5L Owner's Group on Facebook please? Thanks.

Anyone with one of these plan on being on/near the Jersey shore (Spring Lake), the week after Thanksgiving, would be gracious enough to provide a ride-along?

For the efforts, a humble offering:

I'm in Brooklyn, but could make it down that way. Just need to get the all-season tires thrown on by then.

Which ones are you going for? I'm going on 110+ consecutive weeks on 980s, since picking up the car. I have Mich A/S 3s on my GLI, which I like better...would go Mich A/S 4s on the GT4 if I were replacing

Have a set of A/S 3+ that I only ran for a short season last winter, so I’ll just be using those. Wish the 4s came out in the correct size before I bought them, but oh well 🤷🏻‍♂️

Curious if any Houston 4.5L owners are out here willing to give me a ride in the passenger seat. I’ve driven a 718 GT4 and was underwhelmed by the power plant but the rest was fantastic.

If any are willing, please shoot me a DM.

It may help me make the jump into a 718 with a 4.5L plan.

Default Got mine home

Put on about 500 break-in miles after picking up from Rick in NY last week. 4.5L with gearing and x-pipe. Wow, what a car! Stopped at a service center (those things are weird if you are from the south) and a guy told me the car "scared him" when I revved it once (maybe only to 3k) while parked.

Here is a quick video on the sound (limited to 4k rpm):

Will hopefully have more once get out of break-in cycle.

Wait until you take it to the track and carpet bomb the straights with 8K RPM shifts...
