Cherry on top of this 4.5L engine would be a retrofitted GT4RS intake I have no doubts Rick will figure out a way

Anyone in SoCal end up doing a Deman 4.5L yet?

What you see there is actually the airbox. The intake plenum below is a "modified" 992 GT3 plenum where the air inlet is at the top as opposed to be in the front. The geometry of the GT3 plenum is very similar to the 718 GT4 Clubsport plenum that Rick uses; however the connection between the runners and the head/ITB is different.
The issue that Rick will have is that there's no manifold with the top inlet necessary to work with both the GT4RS airbox and the GT4 head (i.e. 9A1 engine).
Before the 718 GT4 Clubsport was developed by Porsche, there was a "adapter plate" that allowed the 991.1/.2 GT3 intake to mount to the 9A1 but it wouldn't probably work in this situation since the GT4RS has ITB. Furthermore the air inlet plate needs to be converted to a TB and having not seen it, I don't know if it's a simple bolt on or not.
And those are just some of things I can think of based off of a couple of pictures I've seen...
If only Porsche designed it in such a way that the GT4RS plenum mates with the runners of the 718 GT4 Clubsport and the 718 GT4 Clubsport TB bolts right in place of the GT4RS inlet plate...

Interesting that the air box replaces the engine cover itself. I wonder if the carpet on the street RS is any easier to remove than the 981/982 to allow for quicker access to the engine bay.

So, if the 992 GT/GT4 RS centre plenum is of the same dimensions as the outlets as 991.2 GT, then it could mate to the 718CS runners. I have the 991.2 GT Dual Flap centre plenum in my car mated to 3.8 718 CS runners.
You’d then purchase the whole intake solution from window scoop to runners.
I don’t believe Porsche sell these parts individually so you’ll end up with a box of redundant parts (GT3 runners and 3.8 718 CS plenum) … if you already have a 4.5.
As the 3.8 718 CS runners look longer than the 992 GT/GT4 RS runners even taking to into account the ITB height, the whole assembly might be higher and so then you may not be able to bolt down the 718 RS engine cover that the new air box is integrated into… so that might need to be solved for.
Alternatively to 3.8 718CS, make up some mounting plates that effectively allow mating of the 4.5 block to the 718 RS intake if you want to keep it simple… like was previously done for mating to 991 GT3 RS runners.
Lastly programming of the second flap and letting the 981 that it has 2 flaps now, instead of 1 as per stock and as in the 3.8 718CS.
Of course if you add an ITB implementation, as it won’t be the same… then can also do that and program for it.
Hope some of that makes sense as an idea.
