^ This particular video sounds like a turbo .

 

I'd like to disagree with you but it sounds like a turbo or its the particular filter muffling the sound. It definitely doesn't have the howl that the 981 GT4 has at WOT. If you listen to the video, the shifts indicate its a manual transmission.

 

A lot of new cars are sounding different during testing at the ring......the Particulate filter is muffling the sound further.
Hopefully US spec cars wont have it and we can enjoy the sound of the car.
Now...what do you guys think of the car in that video...PDK or Manual?

That's a good question. At some points it sounded like pdk.
That car looks to be really moving .

 

Car seems to move around on its suspension more than the 981, I read on here from people that saw the car that its a softer riding car.

 

That sounds turbo muffled to me. The one downshift while passing the slower car at 2:07 sounded decidedly manual however.

I'm not too hung up on the sound even though it sounds different, the sound can always be fixed

 

Wow haha not sounding great. I hear "The General" will have a new mid engined V8 to talk about this July. I bet that will sound good.

If the car sounds like this in production US spec I'll keep my 981 gt4 likely.

 

I thought we had already established that the EU/NA variants sound differently? This was the EU one with the particulate filter.

 

No - nothing of the sort has “already been established”.

 

It sounds quiet, but actually less than a turbo IMO, compared to some of the older videos. Really hard to say, but the experts seems to be sure that it won't be a turbo, so why even go there anymore? ..................but, I will be ROFLMAO if it will have one.

 

It'll be a good ride either way. The speculation has been entertaining though.
