Once cars are available for test drives we should know more details...
I saw on tire rack, N1s are now available in GT4 sizes. My tires are toast and nay give those a whirl.

I’ve got N1s on the way. Interested to see if there are any noticeable differences.

Hey, Sorry about that......was not my intention to offend and definitely I'm not that guy! We have plenty of those around....as stated already the improvement is not on dry grip, which relates to track performance of the 718 GT4. So any posted improvement is now non-tire dependent, which is a good sign.

FWIW - my dealer just told me that "allocations not out yet, but it will not be a limited production car, so there should be plenty of allocations to satisfy demand." Nothing more to add...we'll see.

N1s perform great. No real comparable data as I have not used them on my home track yet, but only on NoS (where I am not quick enough to feel the difference between tires). However, the grip level in particular on the front axle is great and subjective feeling is that the level is better than N0.

Considering how tight-lipped PAG is on their tire specs how do you know this? Experience, extrapolating from something you read on here on a different car or verifiable spec?

Basically what Groundhog posted and some info from the GT3 forum....nothing direct from Michelin or PAG.
Once my MPSC2 were gone I switched to RE71Rs and stayed with those.
But if I had to guess, not sure if PAG will go out of their way to give the GT4 a tire with a huge improvement from 981 to 718 considering what they have done (performance wise) and market position both cars.

Thanks for all the info from the early on posters - confirms who to look to in the future.

Happy I kept my Spyder - nothing here makes me want to move on (particularly the new butt). If you missed the 981 Spyder, cat is now out of the bag - grab yourself a 718 Spyder or maybe a used 981 (quite the price jump)

interesting how the pendulum swings - people now eager for the pdk, last time GT4 had the manual that people jumped It seemed driving demand

perfect pairing - Spyder and GT3

Yup, if they don't offer up a PDK 718 GT4 then I'll just keep my 918 GT4 as it's dialing in and basically has the same power.

Love my 981 Spyder! After taking it to the track for the first time, I now want to upgrade my S2000 track car to either a GT4, GT3, or GT3RS. I think I am going to wait until next year, as I see the GT3 variants coming down, and maybe the 981 GT4's will as well, giving me good options!

A GT4 with a Dundan D4 package seems like a great track weapon! I need to take my uncles RS out and see if its all the hype....

Put in my deposit today for a GT4 so back in on this waiting game. It'll be my third Cayman and I hope this one will be the charm to keep and be drama free for once on both ordering and ownership.

I am on two lists in AZ, have been for about a year and a half. Recieved calls from BOTH dealers today. BOTH said I'd be in the first batch of allocations. I have 30 days to lock in my build and order will be placed....for a $20k ADM. NOV Delivery. I politely told them both to call me back when they want to sell at MSRP. I'll keep driving my T for now.

The fact I got calls from both dealers, within an hour of eachother, and they both said 30 days and the same ADM, same delivery....feel like this is useful info for the US?

November delivery for USA? Interesting. So allocations have been released? 20k . Ouch!
