A 718 GTS (with no tweaking) is 200k, that means the 718 GT4 will be around 230k-240k minimum. (992 base ~270k)
$172,700 is base price on a manual 718 GTS or around $186,276 in the road in SA with no options. Say $200k with a couple of decent options.

$189900 + 5% = $199,395 or around $215k on road. light options $225k. Go silly with options, then yeah you're absolutely right at $240 to $265k.

If I can get there I won't be going silly with option. If I can't get there, I'll go used 981 GT4.

If the next GT4 is a 4L I'll definately be selling my GT4 (first batch, first one in the country, so no 3rd gear issue, ha ha) next year and upgrading. If its a 3.8 again I might go for something else mid engined but I dont know what.
Today there are no GT4s for sale in the state and only 15 country wide. - not so many.
My 987.2 is too special and too good, faster than the GT4 around corners, so it will stay as the nominal track car.

Wait there is a transmission problem??!!?!!??! Crap I just raced my all day yesterday WTF was I doing???????!!! Oh thats right competing having a blast and ENJOYING myself.

Lets be serious if you can afford a 720S (truly afford it) a 10-15k transmission would be no issue, hell I see ppl buy new GT3's and take straight from dealer to aftermarket shop and drop 20k plus on roll bar, harness, etc.etc. etc before ever driving the dam thing and these are just to show off a Cars and Coffee....lol!

Me too! Think about it all the time. I think I may actually have a decent shot at getting one. The street car that is.

If the GT4 has the 4.0 I may take it over my Feb/March arriving GT3. I love small cars with big engines.

Really? You think that a 0.2L increase in displacement will make a big enough difference to sway you between a GT4 and a GT3? We are talking about a little bit extra torque on the same'ish engine, not the GT3 engine in the GT4.

Base, S, and GTS were just not enough 4cyl turbo models to choose from. A T was a must! So you can either choose from FOUR 4cyl turbo Boxsters with an auto-top or a NA Spyder with a manual, pain in the a$$, top. Makes perfect sense.

Interesting! Wasn’t their a lot of rumours that the T would get a flat 6.

Champion porsche posted that a big announcement is coming up and then posted the below photo after the announcement.

Rumors? More like unrealistic wishful thinking from those with dog-whistle hearing that totally ignored the precedent Porsche set with the 911T. No way Porsche was going to go NA on a Cayman/Boxster T.

Exactly. There were absolutely no rumors that it would be NA. Pure speculation by people hoping for something that would never happen.
