E46 M3 has much lower gear ratios and a similar final drive ratio. And 8000 rpm redline. Who cares about a 180mph top end?

Also, any idea when porsche might let you spill some beans on the car.
The commercial should start being launched after January 3rd. I really wish I could speak freely about the car. We did an initial development support test in July and then another for the filming of the commercial in September . It's really hard to stay tight lipped but we have to respect the wishes of the powers to be. Once the 3rd comes around I'll be happy to answer all the technical questions all you guys have. We are very familiar with the car??

RE gear ratios, I think that what they mean is that if you change ratios without changing the redline, when you shift into the next gear you’re in a suboptimal range. But I’m guessing that’s what they’re talking about.

I appreciate your candor and willingness to share information when you can! You guys will have my business for upgrades if I am lucky enough to get a 718 GT4 allocation!

Is it just me or does it look like there are no wheels/tires on those cars?

Doesn’t need wheels. I hear the new engine is powered by a normally aspirated six cylinder flux capacitor with short gear ratios....

Porsche is very particular about photos being released prior to the launch. When we did testing with them , we all signed an NDA and had stickers over the cameras on our phones to avoid all that stuff .
