Still sounds like a NA 6, but more farty and not as good as the 981. Needs to be more like the RSR which sounds soooo good. Also sounds like they are short shifting around 6000RPM.

I agree with you. I was team turbo on those first videos. But the engine now sounds on those videos sounds like a modified 4.0 at around 7k rpm or so.
I'm hoping everyone hates the car so I can get pts haha. Not sure I have the stomach for the pts price though. We shall see. The car will have to be rather special to get me to ditch my gt4

A full wrap would get you the color you want too.
The big news for the street 718GT4 is if they offer PDK....

IPD Plenum/GT3 TB/COBB Tune/Less restrictive Headers/High Flow Air Filters— BOOM: 430hp easy..... In the U.K. that would set me back less than £10k— DEFINITELY less than chopping in my 981 GT4 for the 718 successor....

Hopes of a 9k rpm “screamer” are fast diminishing in my eyes.... 😖😖

My money is still on at least 7500, but probably at least 7800 to match the 981. They just aren't going to make it rev less than the H4 in the 718 and I'd be shocked if they made it rev less than the 981. For marketing purposes it would do them well to restrict it in the same way the 981 was and let it spin to higher revs. 8k-8200. It's not going to spin to 9k. It would make way too much power and Porsche probably don't want it spinning to 9k in a mid engine for longevity purposes..

They were guessing last week that it could be turbo but they now admit it’s an NA GT3 engine lol
N/A wins !!!

Assuming Spyder and GT4 will be the same, it's not going to rev very high either as the rev counter only goes to 8K max like the turbo cars.
