Autoweek had a similar rendering a few weeks ago. I think it's pretty cool.

Default 960

As of now, what do we know about 960? Turbos or no turbos. Weight goal? All cf? Release date?

It'll be offered for sale with a PDK only.

If you don't like that, then clearly you're a Philistine troglodyte who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near such a fine piece of engineering in the first place.

Supposedly sharing a platform with the next R8 and Gallardo replacement. It will be interesting to see how VW differentiates these triplets in a relatively small niche.

My guess is that it will become Porsche's top of the line 24 hours of Le Mans endurance platform. An engine developed by Porsche Motorsport (not a production line engine). FIA rules for GT racing have not been finalized yet - but would guess it will be turbo.

Pretty... Looks like the love child of a Cayman and a Ferrari Italia.

Default So no GT2, 960 instead?

The other week I brought up the topic of when Porsche would release the 991 GT2.

Some folks believe that Porsche will not release the GT2 In lieu of the 960 taking it's place, possibly, in price range. Though I doubt the GT2 would cost as much as the 960.

I put a deposit on a 960. You're right, it will cost more than the GT2. Initial estimates are around $275,000-$300,000.

Probably there will be no GT2, but I'm quite sure that we will see a GT2 RS.

960 seems to be faaaar away when there are no cars driving around so far, probably 3-4 years until it is released. Maybe no 991.2 GT2 RS then...

I have a deposit too, but I don't know how much I'm feeling Porsche right now after this gt3 deal.

+1 - after my short honeymoon with the GT3, I was planning on placing a deposit as well, but that idea left my mind by now.
