I have a2017 991.2 Turbo S and my Fiance' has a 2019 718 Boxster S. We have a few other vehicles we take as well depending on mood and weather.

We're up and just deciding now... It'll be a few hours before we leave...We might actually go toward the Tail of the Dragon , Skayway, up to Gatlinburg for dinner and who knows what else...

We're known for going 400-500 miles and a full day / night...lol

Knocked out another 300 mile day yesterday with my better half in her 718 Boxster S and a good friend in his modded 996TT.

The PS4S's worked well, even though I had my pressure higher than usual. 38-39 psi Front (Hot) and 41-42 Rears (Hot). They always grip better when aired down to around 33F / 36R Hot.

Made for some fun though with some slight drifts in a few corners

Hi folks, Im moving to Atlanta area this summer. Any safety or crime related concerns in terms of carjackings or break ins? Any recommended safe areas to live? Coming from a very low crime area in Canada, Im a little worried to the point where Im considering just getting a CRV or something so I dont get car jacked or robbed at gunpoint

I'm not trying to be hyperbolic here, but crime is very high here. I think Atlanta has more violent crime per capita than Chicago, and Chicago is known for shootings and violence. Also public schools are I think ranked 50th out of 50 states, so education quality is SUPER low. If I had a wife and kids I would move or I'd have to pay whatever rates private schools charge. As a 6'3 250lb single man with multiple firearms I like living here but I consider it dangerous. Here's a local Atlanta news site if you want to do your own research: https://www.11alive.com/local. Be prepared and okay to have to defend yourself because unfortunately the time will most likely come when you will have to.

Safest cities will be north of Atlanta but far and few. Aim for Alpharetta, Roswell, East Cobb, Johns Creek. Basically the areas with super high housing costs.

Hyperbole is exactly how I would describe the previous poster’s comments … Atlanta is a big city and has its share of crime for sure. I have lived here for over 20 years, and, unlike GT4_Rick, have not experienced any violent crime, nor, do I know anyone who has. Generally, if you stay north of I-285 from I-85 on the east side of town over to I-20 on the west side of town, you’ll find a very high quality of life. Inside the Perimeter (I-285), Brookhaven, Buckhead and Vinings are good neighborhoods and the price of homes reflect that.

Peachtree Corners, John's Creek, Suwanee, Buford are good. Do you need good schools?
Lots of nice cars around, I've never felt unsafe or targeted but I also don't spend much time in Atlanta itself, mostly northern suburbs.
Also, I think some cars are worse than others. I like the dodge challengers and chargers but wouldn't drive one down to Lenox Mall and have heard from people they are such targets for theft that its really better to not own one.

I just retired (early) this past week from law enforcement after 18+ years and can give you a bit of a heads up but it would be better to discuss over the phone. PM your number and I'll call ya sometime soon.

I start a new career on Monday full time, so it may have to be in the evenings.

Also as a 6' 2" 270 lb. man that's a firearms instructor and never leaves home without a concealed carry, I don't worry too much but some areas are worse than others.
