Did just a tic under 500 miles yesterday with 2 separate drives. lol
A buddy that couldn't make the morning drive decided to come up later.
So we waited on him and then did another 200+ miles on some different roads.
Almost hit a dear but we love Night drives. Good times!!!

Made it all the way to the Blue Ridge Parkway yesterday. Over 20 degree difference from the hot temps around the metro area. Surprisingly not a lot of traffic.

Went up the road to nowhere today - FS 711 off Wayah Rd in NC. This is always an adventure, and it delivered again with trees down and a fat timber rattlesnake.

We're probably doing a drive tmrw.
The plan is to go for a good long one and end up in the evening on top of R. B. Russel or some other mountain where we can watch the start of the Meteor shower (11-13th).

Will be heading out in about an hour meeting somewhere off of 575 near Barrett Parkway. We’re going to spend most of the day going towards Tennessee in North Carolina and then coming back through Georgia this evening somewhere on Richard B Russel scenic Highway at the top of the mountain to watch the meteor shower.
