I was a 2-wheel guy myself back in the early 2000s, I ran the south region of WERA with a 2003 CBR600RR.
J-GP is where it all began for me, also ran Barber, RA, RRR, CMP and good ol' TGPR back when clockwise and counterclockwise were in play.

Awesome!! Yeah, I miss it but too many broken bones, torn ligaments, and surgeries to continue.
I never raced, just track days. I did okay for a 265 lbs. guy on a completely Stock R1 with only a Penske 2 way shock and revolved / re-sprung Forks for my weight.
Tires weren't the best back then either. Never ran slicks, only the basic track day tires.
Stopped in Tellico, TN at an outstanding local bakery and was surprised to see a dozen other Porsches roll in just as I was leaving. Anyone here? Thanks for the GT4 oil filter my new friend!

We did a Night Mountain drive last night in fact...But I was in my Vette instead, breaking in new tires.

Went up to Suches a few weeks ago with a buddy. Minimal traffic, perfect weather, great fun.
I'm more of a track guy, but the mountain runs definitely surprised me.
I love the track too and would be there far more often but it's just too dang much time and money to plan... With my work schedule and loving the mountains like we do, we just do as many drives as we can.
Hoping to do more track time in the future with my other car I just bought.. Just too much risk with my Turbo S.
We're going for a ride Today / this afternoon... Probably around 3pm or so meeting a friend up 400 (I'm coming across from I-575 and across 136)....PM me if you want to join or PM your cell.
