hey gang, sorry I didn't make it yesterday, something came up at the last minute. how was the race?
also, for next week, any interest in the Late Model at iracing's newest track, Langley Speedway? it would be a bit of a homecoming for those of you in DC/VA

I had my usual good time
Small crowd, though Andy (Gator) made it.
I was my usual 2 seconds off Justin/Andy (Jenks) through practice/qualifying, and got a great start...only to spin on T9 on Lap one and watch the field sail by. Chased Nate for several laps and was slowly reeling him in when he spun. Rest of the race for me was hot lapping after that.
Like I said, my usual "had a good time".

I launched into an early lead then went looking for speed in the sand. There is no time to be gained in the tire wall either... I checked. After that I racked up a speeding in the pit lane penalty. Pretty poor performance last night on my part.
Hopefully we can get a better turnout again, there were only 5 cars on the grid last night. Patrick Long gets a free pass for missing out, but only because he's in LeMans.

I was talking with Nate last night after the race. After next week, he'll be alternating weeks due to another commitment. Since he is primarily a road racer and doesn't have much oval/NASCAR content, can we have another road race next week (Lotus at Brands Hatch?) and save the Langley/Late Model race for the following week?

As ed noted, I work 2-2-3 midnight shift as an Emergency Services Operator. Since I work 6pm-6am I'll be here every other week. On a positive note I'll be well rested for the session since I'll be waking up at 5pm. 
I'm happy just to run with you guys and don't want to impose on where you guys want to run; I'm happy to just tag along. If more road races happen to pop up more often on the nights I can be there, then cool.
