I'm using David Scott's race setup from S1 of this year, assuming we're doing open sets. I'll share it out when I get in there if anyone wants it. It's worked better for me than modifying Justins setup from Mid-Ohio which was the only comparable setup I had saved.
Yep...good fun tonight. Surprised myself with a good launch and led into T1. Chased by Justin and Andrew for 4 laps (with a high pucker factor) until I finally spun on T8 - one of my nemesis turns. Took some damage on another off a few laps later, but still managed to stay on the lead lap. Great combo.
'Stangs @ Laguna should be a blast! I'll see if I can recruit a few more drivers, too.
It was a great pairing. I really like the Riley and Road America is such a classic track. I find that the Riley is really susceptible to damage as I blew up one engine in practice and bent the front suspension during the race without actually hitting anything. Launching those cars is pure comedy. We had a few close calls on the first lap, but we did a great job of keeping it clean and avoiding each other.
The mustang next week should be great. Since the new tire model, that car feels much better to me. Laguna is a base content track, so lets hope we get a few more racers out.
Yep, I felt comfortable racing wheel to wheel with you, which makes for great racing
I checked in the Moostang forum and found a thread with a zip file containing all the Mustang Setups for 2012 Season 2 here...I'll be checking out the Laguna Race and Qualifying setups this weekend.
Hey guys, I'd like to join in but I couldn't find the specifics of when you race? I've neglected iRacing for the past several months but would like to start getting seat time again.
At the indicated time, go to "Hosted Events" on the iRacing dashboard, and select "Join a Race"...look for CXC Simulations Racing League usually hosted by C. Lawrence and click join. It'll ask for a password, which is mrroblay.
overhauling the pc this week so i should be good to go for next week, that's if i can get the wheel and pedal set. no stores in town have anything in stock so it looks like i'll be ordering online.
