Bummer about not being able to keep it together, Justin. Based on times in practice I figured it would've been a lot tighter. Funny how psychological this sport can be.
I like Sears Point, works for me.

So bummed to miss last nights race. My favorite track too.
I sold my T500rs two days ago and I don't have my button plate with shifters for my new OSW (button plate is arriving today). So my only hope was to race with auto shift which was prohibited i determined once i entered practice (which i think should be) so i was out of luck for the race. Hope it was a good clean race.

^^^ was wondering what happened to you! Saw you were registered....
So your OSW arrived? Hooked it all up already?
Mine arrived yesterday. Managed to unbox it last night after our race... wife said she was going to bed early so I skittered back down to the basement. 30 minutes later, she came down... wanted to know when I was coming to bed (LOL!) so I didn't get very far with it.
This morning before work I got the cables connected and at least made sure it all powered up. I'll mess with it more tonight. I have to make some changes to my rig to mount it before I can actually use it.

My Sam maxwell plate just arrived yesterday (however Sam has to make a new spacer as the back opening doesn't fit with the OSW spacer provided... ). So i am now waiting for Sam to send me a new spacer so i can hook up my new button plate to my OSW. Hopefully i should be back driving/racing by Monday/Tuesday. Do you have a custom button plate that you will be using with your OSW?
Cool!
Yeah, I have a Sam Maxwell plate. Ordered it back around the same time as I ordered the OSW. Had him do a custom one to mate up to the same Momo wheel I have in my track car, for familiarity.
I literally took my first test drive with the OSW this morning, 3 laps @ LeMans in the GT3 Cup.
I took a leap of faith, and went straight to settings I found on the OSW thread, vs. starting off using Joe's defaults.
It feels good, don't get me wrong - TONS of detail, very subtle, feels very high end. Best analogy I can come up with is to compare it to higher-end audio gear. Just much more detail and subtlety. But it feels a little gritty, or grainy? I'll take some time this afternoon between meetings to go back and load Joe's defaults back in, just to see how it feels by comparison.
Sooooo many settings and possibilities means there's 1-2 "right" setups and about a million wrong ones (kinda like 40-way shocks lol). I want the fidelity, but I want plug-and-play at the same time.... guess that's why the Bodnar is so expensive!

Couldn't agree more with you about initial impressions of the OSW. I also noticed a notchy or grainy feeling with the wheel.. i guess it will depend on some of the settings. Its a bit overwhelming with all of the different settings. A bit over my head (or way over my head. LOL). I too was looking for a more plug and play setup but hopefully i can get it to a feeling i like and just leave it alone. I also just copied the settings found on the OSW setup thread on iRacing.
Ok I messed with it a little.
I *was* running Brion Sohn's settings. Went back and reset everything to Joe's suggestions and it felt better... then noticed Joe commented in the thread, stating that "Jason's" settings are a good bet. So I swapped over to those (see post by Jason Jodarski) - feels pretty good. Did a few laps in the GT3 Cup, a few in the C7DP, a few in the Miata, and a few in the Skip Barber.
I set an all-time personal best in the Miata @ Laguna on my 2nd lap. I'd say the wheel is pretty damned good.
Didn't think to check to see if I did the same in the other cars (set a PB). I did realize that the C7DP has H-E-A-V-Y steering. Not sure I'll be able to do a full 3:15 stint at Sebring like I did at Daytona...

I also have Jason's settings. Do you have the max strength at 100% in the MMos? I have to turn it down or else i have to run very low iRacing force strength. I have a 290mm Momo 27c wheel. Once i get my wheel properly mounted with Sam Maxwell plate i will start really trying to dial in the settings.
I'm using a Mod 78 which is 330 I think.
