I hammered out a pile of laps around Laguna in the fixed series. The autoblipper transforms the car under braking. I'm going to have to relearn a lot now.

So you're using autoblip instead of heel-toe yourself?

I never clutch, but I used to blip manually. I guess I was not blipping nearly enough. Now with the autoblipper, it's way more stable under braking. It doesn't jump sideways on the 3-2 shift.

Anyone else have the Fanatec Clubsport Shifter SQv1.5? I really like the shifter but I have broken the sequential shifter spring for the second time just before a race today. Last time I had to send the whole shifter back to Fanatec to replace the simple spring, they wouldn't just send me a replacement spring. Just sent another email off to their support, guessing they are going to want to do the same again. Anyone else have other sequential shifters? I prefer it over the paddles as bothers my wrists if I used them too much.

All our current league members own the car too, which makes it no additional cost.

Anyone strongly opposed or have a good argument against switching to the "cup" car?
Sounds good to me, ran some laps in it today, was much better then I remembered. Last time I drove it I kept spinning it under braking, but that seems to be corrected.

Let's do a Daytona daytime race with the cup car on Wednesday. I'll set it up tonight. Daytona is easy enough that we can ease our way back into iracing and warm up a bit for the 24.

Not going to make it either, flying out for business in the morning for the rest of the week. But at least it will be warming in Phoenix than here.

Is anyone going to be around? Should we push it one more week?

I should be around. I'll try out the cup tonight or tomorrow to see if I can get it to quit trying to swap ends every time I brake.

Lets wait one more week and hopefully everyone will be back. Tell your friends and old members to come back for Daytona in the cup car.

They must have made some changes to the c spec. It doesn't want to swap ends anymore but it drives like a mini van except the brakes aren't as good.

I ran some practices at Daytona and I'm having massive stuttering problems with large fields of cars. I'll get drops to 40fps from a solid 127 (capped) in parts of the track that are not very graphics intensive and no other cars are being drawn. I suspect it's dynamic surface related as when there are less cars, the stutters are less severe and less frequent. Turning off the dynamic surface graphics option has no effect. I started noticing small stutters after the dynamic surface was released, but it wasn't too bad until large fields around Daytona at night. I may have to bail out of the 24hour team if I can't find a solution as an ill timed stutter pretty much induces a crash.
