Agree if that is all we have to worry about life is pretty boring, I think the tire noise is awesome really good feedback .

I did manage a clean full lap in the RWD last night tho the results pages are still down and I don't remember the lap, I think it was a 7:04.
Took me like 30 attempts to get one clean one in that car LOL

Dammit! I was in the last segment of tourist on my first ever lap in the mx-5 with 0 incident points and the spotter told me I had 5 laps of fuel left and it freaked me out and I wrecked.

Watching the replay - setup will be key for sure. I was bottoming out in spots, and those spots correspond with places where I'd randomly spin. I think I need to add a lot of ride height and a bit of spring rate.
Also need to learn the new tires. Pressures are different.

I ran a 6:30.00 today in an open practice tourist timing. Make sure to add 6.5psi to the tires from the previous setup. There still a lot of time I'm leaving on the table. I'm getting pretty quick through the first half of the track, but I'm still learning my way through the second.

Turns out the Track uses "tire warmers".... so my previous setup, which was saved with initial COLD tires in mind (at 17.5psi or so) became the new HOT temperatures... so they were 6.5psi too low.
I did one lap with the pressures adjusted and instantly hit a 6:41.x. Car feels a LOT better.
6:30?!?!?!? HOLY.

Ok I set up a League practice tonight on Tourist config with the RUF Track. 6-8pm CST (typical Sunday night practice).
It's under "2014 Fun Runs" season (I tried creating a "2015 Fun Runs" season but it's not showing up... go figure?)

Got down to a 6:33.2 but it had 1x on it. After running a few hours yesterday I was too confident tonight I think. I only crossed the finish line twice LOL.
Justin what kind of ride height and spring rates are you running? I feel like I'm bottoming a lot, because when I do lose control it's pretty sharp and sudden. I need to get that under control before I can go any faster I think.

Did a 6:32 today, Jim I here you pushing way too much most of the time and cannot get clean laps, my TBL is down to 6:28. There is a good set up in the forum, go into the forum under Ruf Track, there is a thread in there on set ups for the Ring, use Jon Halls V5 wing. It is very good, I added the splitter back in to help the car turn in on the sweepers. Track is too much fun, lots of guys in the teens

After about 10 laps total I got down to 6:45 but I'm still being reactive on much of the 2nd half. In another 10 I think I can get down in the 30s and maybe even 20s but teens?
