Is there a session tonight?

 

Watched the video on the iRacing Ring, awesome, wished I was at home this week but have to wait until this weekend to download and try it.

 

Ok, executive decision time. We're going to do the GP course of the Nurburging tomorrow. It's too soon for the green hell, but I still want to start learning it.

 

Tough to get on Iracing right now, their servers must be over loaded with everyone downloading the ring .

 

Its been down all day. I'd say their update didn't go well.

 

It's trying to come back up but it's not quite there yet. Are we running with or without the arena?

 

Just reading the release notes they added/updated a ton of things, can't wait to get home an try it.

12/9 7::00 am still off line. I noticed that last night i could get in long enough to pay for the tracks but not download them, LOL. Looks like they weren't prepared for such a heavy load. Maybe would have been wiser to release the update to the software first then released the tracks a few days later, might have spread the load out over a longer period of time. Still can't wait to drive the "Ring". But i've waited this long another day or two won't kill me.

Hey guys, hoping to join you tonight. Sorry I've been away for a bit. been dealing with some Neuromuscular issues that make it a bit difficult to race. I'm on some meds finally and they seem to make things a bit better. We will see how it goes.

 

Site was still down when I left home. I can't do it from work, so if someone else wants to set one up that would be great. Otherwise I'll see you guys in some open practices tonight.

I'm also out for the next few weeks until after Christmas if someone wants to take on the hosting duties until then.

 

It's not looking good for tonight so I think I'll take my daughters out for dinner.

I'm home the next two weeks and I'd be glad to host if I can figure out how. Shall we try the Nordschleife next week?

 

I'm WFH all week and each time I run downstairs to the sim rig to log in and buy/download the new stuff... the site is down. (Even if I'm "in" on my machines upstairs...)

If I can get on tonight in time to download everything, I should still be in.

 

What about a Rennlist Nordschleife laptime challenge?

Fastest RL lap with 0 inc points gets... I dunno... bragging rights?

 

In the Mclaren? That probably leaves me out but I'm game to try. How about that and then a race on the GT course on Wed?

 

Well... it's such a long track. And knowing how bumpy it is from Assetto Corsa... learning the track is 1/2 (or more) of the challenge. Then going fast around it is another challenge.

Going fast and staying clean is yet another challenge.

I figure, just staying clean for an entire lap would give more people a shot at the win It's easier to rocket around without regard for inc points.
