I'm up for Monza, but I think we should do a European series in the fall. We can get a whole bunch of awesome tracks in there. We can do Monza now too and drop Motegi if there's enough people who are up for it.

I think a fall Euro season would be awesome.

Sorry I missed it last night. Spent the day in the garage doing maintenance on the car, then had a bunch of yard work and other errands to run. Didn't get home until 8:00, right when the session ended.

We will do one final race at Spa next week and then call it quits until October again.
I tried the rift again last night and actually seemed to have picked up some fps with the latest update. I didn't have to adjust detail at all and ran 3 mirrors at a solid 127fps. I'm still struggling to get used to the rift, but it was better last night than it's been for a while. I'm going to try to use it for some official practices to try and force myself to get used to it.

It was a fun final race of the year at Spa. I really struggle with depth perception in the Rift mirrors so the first lap with Burkey behind me was a mess. I tried to just focus on the apexes, but then I got tagged. After I caught back up with Jim, he had a nice spin on the back kink. I expected his car to kick left or right, but it slid straight and I drove right into the side of him. That's what forced both of our pitstops on that lap with the fast repair. Burkey seemed to take much longer in the stop, so I came back out in front when he stopped. I'm guessing that was my fault for not limiting the fuel tank so he probably filled it to the brim, which also makes it heavier.
My learning point is that I should have really checked up my speed when I saw Jim go into an irrecoverable slide instead of being opportunistic.

Patience almost always pays off
I've been somewhat out of practice. You were catching me anyways, and I wouldn't have caught you once you'd gotten around me. I then lost it in that big downhill left towards the end, hit the wall, and that slowed me up enough (bent car) to let Burkey past after his unfortunately long fuel stop.
Until next season
