I expected his car to kick left or right, but it slid straight and I drove right into the side of him. That's what forced both of our pitstops on that lap with the fast repair. Burkey seemed to take much longer in the stop, so I came back out in front when he stopped. I'm guessing that was my fault for not limiting the fuel tank so he probably filled it to the brim, which also makes it heavier.

My learning point is that I should have really checked up my speed when I saw Jim go into an irrecoverable slide instead of being opportunistic.
Justin sorry for the tap, I have not been online much lately crazy at work and trying to get 2 cars ready for the season. But still no excuse. As for the pit stop I had it set up for 7 gallons truth is I did not know where the pit in was my own fault I hate not being prepared. Look forward to the fall, out track season finally starts tomorrow, fingers crossed on both new engines.

Burkey

PS if they bring out the ring before the fall I think we should have one 10 lap race

Until next season
TEN laps?

I think it's a miracle when I complete more than two in a row when I run it in Assetto Corsa!

Anyone have thoughts on Project Cars? My friend talked me into pre-ordering it the other day.

I have very little interest in other sims right now. Iracing has more than enough to keep me going and the online component is so well done with iracing. I need the competition to keep me having fun, otherwise it's just a grind.

+1

The only reason I have AC is because they released DK2 support before iRacing did, and I was dying to get more use out of it.

I do enjoy AC's implementation of street cars, they're mushy and bounce/slide a lot. It's a good game to play around in if I'm just looking to sit down and play (vs. take it a little more seriously).

I'm more excited for less predictable weather next season... and I'll bet you're pumped for the AMG GT3 car. I wish I had more time to race, but my real race car is a needy girl.

When I saw the announcement, I jumped so high from my chair, I knocked myself out in the ceiling.

Yeah, and the NTMv6 is promising to improve carcass stiffness. People are having high hopes for over the limit driving. Though, I think it was said a while ago that its more due to wild temperature fluctuation, and they're going to tackle compounds next to fix that. Either way, good stuff coming.

I jumped on for the first time in 7 weeks tonight, actually a little dizzy for the first 5 minutes.

I think we'll start up the league again in late September after our track seasons wrap up. If you guys are running any rennlist hosted sessions, post em up. I'm sure some of us are looking to do some practices again.

For many of us September is when it cools off enough to go back to racing so I might miss a couple Sundays but that works for me.

In the next month or so I will host a session or two of Indy, as I'm going to the PCA DE there in Aug. Now not 100% the same course but some of the corners will be the same.

Post up if anybody hosts. I might be able to join for a short while. Summers are busy and we just wrote an offer on a new house so I my free time will be really limited... but lately I noticed I've been missing my quality time with my rig
