I am out for tonight, although I got a little practice in today. Got the Optimal time down to 2:08.xxx which is a lot better than yesterday.....but a long way to go... to catch you guys
The P/Q/R was a blast even though I disappeared early. Practicing by yourself blows....
Working on the Race Car tomorrow but will hit it tomorrow night.

I won't be there either, I don't think. However, you will see more of the 44 car soon as my Obutto R3 should be here Tuesday. Right on it's heels is the new electronics including 3 24" monitors. Everybody seems to be sold out of the Buttkicker sim's, so that will have to be a future upgrade.
I bought a whole package from Performance. Happy birthday to me!

Great fun
For all that didn't race
See the links I have posted in last page to get ur screens and wheels setup right
It make a WORLD of difference
After the race my buddy came over to pick me up to go out ( yes drunk posting from a bar)
He does not game or race
He lapped on his first lap in the 2:18 range and commented on how real it felt compared to other time he has tried it

Fun but being taken out during the race by a non-rennlister annoys me. Thanks for hosting.
PS - does anyone have any in-game steering wheel settings for the Fanatec GT2 wheel?
I know it's 900 degrees of rotation, 0 damping but not sure about minimum sensitivity setting. What's that one do?

I'm on the fence about the open sessions. Understand how open sessions might help with different skills, but at the same time I do see the other side also. As in each one I have been taken out by someone, will admit in one case it was my fault as I did tag someone that braked in a place that you don't brake, that is a learning moment. But it is clear by the last open race at Mosport as many of the non-rennlisters do not share our etiquette.
It's double edge knife being a hosted race with no impact to iRacing ratings it doesn't matter what someone does, people jump in and do crazy stuff and screw it for someone and then leave (100mph through the pits???) at the same time for many of us coming up to speed having no impact to the iRacing ratings is beneficial. After that last open race at Mosport I was ready to call it quits to open races as I was so frustrated, now having a zero incident rennlist race made up for most of that.
I guess that is the same reason that I race with the PCA Club Racing.
Ultimately its a choice to join or not, we have enough people to host other events and these are also all bonus sessions, so we should have a good balance.
Anyway just one perspective, just want to make sure we don't lose people from the group.

This is why I run passworded sessions. Both so we all know each other but also for the privacy. I think its good some of us host open sessions as we get the best of both worlds.
Freak heat wave here, 71F. So I'll be working on the autocross cars but could do a session late afternoon (like 6:30pm EST). I'm glad to host if there is interest.
