I am a week or so behind this poster to begin production but my delivery also slipped from end of May to end of Jun also. Figure Porsche is adding in a bit of padding on the back side due to these delays. Otherwise as with previous cars...time to sit back and watch and wait. Am still within 30-45 days given new dates of prior timeline when I placed my deposit last Sept and got an allocation about 2 mos later so the wait is expected.

I did - and they acknowledged this Belarus issue but felt that the date would still be end of June. I said F it - I'm still getting it. The fun of spontaneity and getting some thing new has worn off (oh well). I have a LR defender that I still really like but I'll get the Cayenne and see which one I want to keep.

I did mention it to my SA this AM and by this afternoon I had Porsche Maintenence plan for first 24 mos, Tint and Ceramic package, All weather mats and cargo thrown into my deal on them and Porsche NA. Also offered discounted wheel/tire protection plan (40% off regular pricing) if I wanted to add it to the deal. Delayed delivery is still expected as they were told Porsche is expediting parts to port and trying to get them before they tranship also from Emden. So thinking is still that I will see the car mid summer as TYD indicates now [updated as arrival date]. So am good with the added wait. Interesting they asked me to keep them updated on things to as I seemed to know as much or more than they did sometimes before they did on the delays! LOL

I've thought about that, but at this point I have an alternative daily driver and I'm just going to stick it out for the new tech .. But if it goes beyond the summer date by a lot - then I think I may punch out.

From what I understand the major previous delay was EPA approval; now it’s this chip issue, which hopefully will be more quickly resolved. My production date kept getting pushed off, but now it’s in the next few days. So, if you ordered well after me, you may benefit from missing the EPA BS.

The only positive thing I can contribute is that the car is great and maybe it is worth waiting. And those with hybrid orders have the chance to upgrade to hybrid s for $5k more.
Now at 4.7k km and all good - october delivery car, so one of the first and gremlins were expected. Have not done the update yet.
Every drive I take the car I really do not want the battery to run out and go to into “ice mode”. The E-Power (pure electric) mode feels fantastic and for some reason I prefer it fot most of the journies even though the power is limited. This car is making me to consider an EV car for everyday driving for myself.

As for electric - many people poo poo it. My wife has a BMW iX. I'll tell you what - its a fantastic car (maybe apart from the front end grill ). I'm getting the Cayenne because we do sometimes drive from LA to Tahoe (when we take our dog up and the BMW network (electrify america) sucks). But for around town it has a 320 mile range and she never goes to the gas station. We can even go to San Diego and back with no worries. We have a 240 V charger at home. I doubt she's going back to gas. Its fast, comfortable, great interior and quiet.
