Extended Warranty
Don't know much about the extended warranty that the dealer offers so I wanted to know what others thought? Is it worth getting and at what cost is it considered a good deal? I have a friend who recommends getting it for any German car. The question is I don't want to over pay for it. Can anyone provide some guidance on this? Thank you.

You can buy the warranty at any time during the new car warranty, so its best to wait.

I would agree on the waiting. I recently purchased an extended warranty on a 2015 Macan during the last week of remaining factory warranty. I ended up buying it from the Porsche dealership, although I got quotes from several other dealership brands (something I didn't realize was even possible). The different pricing options were much better than if I had bought the extended warranty when the Macan was purchased.

Fidelity Warranty (promocode: RENNLIST)
Hey all - Michael Bernardo from Steingold Volvo Cars here - thrilled with the response from this forum, and so glad to help the Porsche community. We stay extremely busy with the Volvo plans through Fidelity from the Swedespeed.com forums, so it’s no problem at all to pass along the discounts to Rennlist.com as well!
Use the link below to get an Instant Free Online Quote with our portal, and use promocode RENNLIST to save $200.00 - the discount should help get the pricing extremely competitive, and we also don’t charge sales tax or processing fees. The only issue is w/ CA residents - California has a law that states its residents cannot purchase outside of CA. Bummer, yes, but the work around is to use an alternate address if you have a vacation home/etc.

So glad to help, and if any questions, don’t hesitate!

Michael at Steingold Volvo is the only way to go. Great prices, great service.

We got it at the time of purchase. What Porsche Canada said was, yes you can get it at anytime within the initial warranty, but you will need to pay for a inspection and at the time of purchase the price might be higher. I believe we got it for 3500 CAN. 7 years, unlimited warranty and you can transfer it.

Service Contracts cannot be purchased with a California address. If you have an alternative address, vacation home, etc., and process with that address, you will have fu validity in every state including California. It’s a simple workaround

I am also looking to buy extended warranty for my 2019 cayenne in California
I declined at the time of purchase.
I was told by another dealer that they will not sell extended warranty, hence thought only original dealer can sell extended warranty
From this thread, it doesn't look like that's the case.
Can someone point to me which dealership in S Cal can be reached for extended warranty?
thank you

One general gripe I have with vehicle extended warranties--the deductibles aren't HIGH enough.. I don't buy any kind of insurance to protect me from 'nickle-and-dime' stuff, I buy it to protect me from catastrophes such as a $30,000 engine replacement.. For instance, my auto coverages have $1000 deductibles for collision and comp. coverages.. End of rant.

Take the extended warranty $, buy SPY,or QQQ or something, and hope for the best over 4 years. Buy it a month before the original warranty expires….
