Hey all. I bought a PIWIS II for my 2013 Cayenne Diesel. I know the Launch X431 can enable the boost gauge on these vehicles like the the gauge that comes with the Turbo's. I would think the PIWIS II could. Has anyone successfully done it? If so, could you give me some pointers please? I went into instrument cluster but didn't see anything in there. I posted the gauge from a friend's diesel that has it enabled.
If you have x431, you should be having this in the extended coding entry or coding values entry. If you have the S or GTS version, gauge will be enabled but will not show any pressure.
There‘s a long list of available coding options in the cluster.
Did you set your Piwis II to engineering mode? Else most of the available options will not be displayed under manual coding..

in the launch x431v+, what is the equivalent of engineering mode, I have production mode in some modules. Once enabled, how to proceed?
if the production mode of disabled, we have access the enable the pressure boost gauge but it shows nothing, pessure is not populated in the gauge.
using a Piwis2 I was able to activate several hidden menus in the dash of my Macan, such as power / torque meter, auto folding mirrors menu, auto high beam, etc. All in „E“ mode as „V“ mode just shows few custom options.
Most important one for me was disabling auf auto Start/Stop (sits in 4 different ECUs) as this is the most annoying thing ever. Great w/ Piwis: you don‘t need to know which ECUs those are, just select all and Piwis does the job on the correct ones. Even in V mode ..

rainer,
I have a Piwis 3 and I am interested trying to set the auto high beam. I have a 991.2. Where was this menu located in the Macan?
Keith,
Auto high beam is mainly a task of figuring out if your hardware is the same as the one used for auto high beam.
1. Thus, most prep it took me was comparing options and installed HW (in PET pdf and what Piwis read out from my car. You can create a vehicle analysis report (FAP) in Piwis and browse your car's HW and coding offline)).
Your front cam as well as your headlights need to be the same as for PDLS+ option ordered. In my case - it worked (Dynamic Xenon headlights and a high resolution cam front which came with lane assist and traffic sign recognition)
2. You have to browse and compare option codes as those make the difference in coding.
a) Basically, in my case I had to code Option 8G2 (which is PDLS+) instead of 8EF (PDLS black) oder 8JE(PDLS))
I changed codings in ECUs for:
Front camera
Headlights
BCM front
plus I changed the Vehicle Order (not sure thats required, but I felt I should update as well in case of future FW updates)
I also coded option 8WH for the front fog lights in order to complete auto high beam with intersection lighting, which makes a full PDLS+ then
I'm not sure it totally translates into a 991.2, but the steps should be very similar IF your hardware is capable for PDLS+
Good luck
Ray
PS: I also must say I failed in one other case, where we tried to apply same coding to another Macan. I think that its front cam was not on the same level mine was. I got all kind of PASM failure messages and had to undo the coding, and re-calibrate steering wheel angle for some reason.
PPS: I never had my hands on 991s or Piwis3, so I can't help with anything specific there, but the logic can be applied to all newer Porsches. X431 and othe tools - also no clue ;-)

I should have been more clear by Map I meant the navigation update. My apologies
