When @konkab analyzed the firmware, he stated that some of the issues seem to be related to hardware and not firmware, which could explain why they are limited on what they can do to fix issues without hardware redesign (hardware v1.3?)

I think this is what we have who ordered recently. I'm pretty happy with my setup so far. The only issue is the CD's in the player are stuck due to some mechanical issue and won't eject them. They work, however, so I'll just leave them in forever

My guess is the setup is listening and responding to canbus messages which is why we get these quirks. Like the volume control could easily be fixed by someone who knows what they are doing, it will just need coding to increase volume via canbus and not locally.
The only issue I do believe may be unresolvable is routing audio via PCM BT for us AA users, this is not an issue of the unit but an issue with AA and the way the AA app on the phone is coded so yes this is a limitation which probably won't change unless Google change it.

It does work well, you have to go into the settings and select original microphone

Just installed my JoyeAuto kit. For some reason my XM module was way larger than the one in the instructional video and had to be removed completely to fit the new board, which is fine since I never use it. Getting the PCM out was easy. Install wasn't bad, but fishing the wires through were a pain. Make sure you power up the module while it's still hanging out of the dash. My screen was tinted blue, so I had to open everything back up and ensure connections were seating tight.

There is a ribbon cable that has to fold the right way when reassembling the pcm unit. Sometimes it folds the wrong way and blocks the CD from being ejected. You can either open the unit and readjust or use a thin flat plastic tool like a disposable plastic knife and wriggle it gently the full length of the CD slot and nudge the cable up in case you detect an obstruction..

Bluetooth phone
Hi, sometimes I like to listen to radio and have waze on. To do so, I need to switch to FM and loose AUX input. However, if I am receiving a call, I cannot hear anything because I am not on AUX obviously. Is there a trick to have everything to work smoothly in that case? I have remove all the Bluetooth/phone connection to the pcm...
Is there any solution to this?
Thanx
