Joyeauto firmware update stuck on "Burn success, welcome!" screen
Hi Konkab! I upgraded by newly installed Joyeauto unit following your instructions. It's stuck on this screen; I restarted the car several times, also had it turned off for a long while. Cannot access the Joyeauto menu at all, when I press "Navi", that's all I see. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated!

Hi. It should turn off in 30 mins after you close the car. If this doesn’t help replug the fuse from the fuse box.
Hi - thanks a lot - I unplugged the cable from the box and the Joyeauto unit restarted. I think the cable was plugged to an “always on” slot in the fuse box, and that’s why the unit did not restart even with ignition off overnight.
Anyone succeeded to get better bluetooth quality? As I understand the main reason is that our chinese device supports only the weakest bluetooth audio codec: 'SBC'. Interesting if it is hardware or software limitation?
Hey @konkab , have you taken a look at the guts of the MCU firmware update, to see if there is a way to fix that steering wheel return button issue?
I tried to reverse engineer the MCU firmware binary, but since its a low level firmware it's more difficult to debug it than application level firmware. But I still think its possible to make a change in the application firmware that will just ignore the return / back button event sent from MCU.

Just installed the Joyeauto unit to the PCM3.1. Have an issue connecting android phone to wireless Android Auto. The phone is running Android 11 and the "Wireless Android Auto" option is enabled. Following
instruction but there is no WiFi from the joyeauto unit visible to the phone. The phone seems is getting a command via Bluetooth to connect to a wifi (it auto enables WiFi if disabled) but there is no WiFi network (nothing similar to what shown in video) it can connects to. As a result an error appeard (WiFi connection tied out) on the HU screen and that's it. It works perfect via USB cable connection and I have no apple phone to check if the carplay has similar issue. Is there anyone faced similar problem ? Any advice ?

also, reading the thread seems like some folks have problem with joyeauto and prefer the NM from UK. Can they even ship to US? First half of the thread says no.

I used to live in the Bay Area, but I headed to SoCal soon. Sorry.
The NM lot can be shipped to the US, I purchased one myself. If it were me buying another one (I actually will be buying one for my Macan) I would avoid the Joyeauto and buy the NM lot. If you run into any issues, the support you receive from NM will sort you out quickly.
We're supposed to be closing on a house in San Diego next week. I'm flying in on the 1st and flying back out on the 7th. We're trying to finalize the move at the end of January and book transport for the 911 and the Macan at that time. If you can wait that long and want to make that drive, I'd be happy to help...as long as you're buying the NM kit. I don't have any experience with the Joyeauto kit even though they are similar.
