Anybody running a Malone tune on their diesel?

reply from Malone received today is posted below. Updated response posted below 1st response.
Hey Rick,
I have gone ahead and tagged our calibrators to see if we're able to get that sorted for you, 2015 is a bit of a weird year for VW diesels, so it can be hit or miss, I will let them confirm and we can go from there!
Cheers,
Tyler
We should be able to add this feature to your STAGE2 tune (sent after 1st response).
Hey Rick,
If he's the one who installed our tune, you'd likely want to give him a ring and get him to get the updated file from us and ready for install on his end! (2nd update).
EST performance is going to get the tune from them next week, and I should get it installed later in the week. 💰

So is there any hardware required for Stage 2?
What's the benefit of deleting the SCR? Just not having to fill with adblue?[/QUOTE]
No hardware requirements. And exactly, no Adblue to fill or to cause other issues. I could replace the DPF and SCR at a later date with straight pipes if they become restricted.

So, I tried to keep this from happening, but it did. I received and had loaded the dynamic idle tune, and not the dynamic EGR. They are different and you must ask for it, like some previous guys have said. The dynamic idle works, it was at 1200 rpm when I started my cayenne to come back from work tonight. I am going back on Monday I hope for the correct load. Has anyone with dynamic EGR had any DPF issues noted above from Malone?

I haven't had any DPF issues. The dynamic EGR should still function in a way that allows for regeneration, so my guess would be only certain very specific driving styles can be problematic. I figured I'd run with my DPF until it failed then go with a straight pipe.

Any updates on this “dynamic EGR tune” you guys had done a few weeks ago? Anybody hear as to when they are going to release a tube for the transmission?

I think they told me 5 slots, but I'll have to ask again. The only problem with that scenario is that turning off those systems for a period of time will likely cause them to malfunction when turned back on, especially the DEF system since that damn stuff seems to crystalize really quickly.
...but I'm reluctant to move forward on this if moving back to stock (temporarily) isn't totally transparent. The last thing I need is a permanent red R sticker on my windshield, effectively bricking the Q7.

Curious for y'alls thoughts on a Malone/Tunezilla tune on my CD now that it's out of warranty. 77k miles, all emissions gear installed and working and I would like to keep it that way. My thought/hope is to keep everything OEM functional and go Stage 2, but my concern is that half the time I'm driving this thing, I'm towing 7,000 pounds with it. My goal is more power/torque and increased drivability while retaining reliability when working it hard. Obviously I'll reach out to Tunezilla and get their input, but if anyone has already had that type of conversation with them, I'm all ears.

Still shopping for a Cayenne diesel, but certainly leaning Malone. I have a stage 2 delete on my Audi A7 V6 TDI. Passes plug in OBDii testing somehow. I don't think it should, but it did (2 readiness monitors "not ready", but no CEL). Audi is due for inspection so if it passes again - I'll do it on the Cayenne when I pick one up.

I performed the stage 2 tune about 20,000 miles ago and I would never be able to drive the car stock again…. Completely gets rid of the delay in the pedal and the power across all bands especially on the highway is noticeable. I’ve towed but towed light so I can’t tell you a good comparison between the two but I highly recommend it!
I also went ahead with the TCU tune and that also changed the dynamics of the car in combination of the tune. I’d also highly recommend that as well!
